摘要： A multilayer color reversal photographic film element is described containing at least two silver halide photographic emulsion layers and a compound of the formula F-1: wherein A, B, C, and D are independently substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic substituents, which may where structurally possible together form a ring or rings; where at least one of A, B, C, and D is of the formula F-2: wherein R1 and R2 are independently either hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic substituents, which may where structurally possible form a ring with other substituents; R3 is a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic substituent which may where structurally possible form a ring with other substituents, L is a bivalent linking or timing group attached to the carbonyl moiety via a heteroatom, n varies from 0-2; and INH is a silver development inhibitor attached either to an L or the carbonyl moiety via a heteroatom.

摘要： There are described a method for retouching photographic images, compositions adapted for such retouching, and photographic elements containing dye-forming couplers that yield dye images that particularly lend themselves to retouching by this method. The method comprises contacting a photographic element containing a dye image with a defined retouching composition to solubilize and remove selected areas or amounts of dye. The composition comprises an aqueous basic solution of a dinucleophile and a water-soluble organic co-solvent. The preferred photographic element for application of this retouching method comprises a dye image formed from a pyrazoloazole magenta dye forming coupler having a cleavable ballast group joined to the remainder of the molecule by one or two electrophilic cleavage groups. The retouching composition cleaves the ballast from the dye and solubilizes the dye, allowing it to be washed from the element.

An image can be developed in this material by merely heating the material to moderately elevated temperatures. The silver salts of certain 3-amino-1,2,4-mercaptotriazole derivatives are particularly preferred compounds. Other addenda employed in heat developable photothermographic materials, such as sensitizing dyes, can be employed with the photothermographic materials described.
