摘要： One particular implementation of the present invention may involve a flexible material infused with fine iron particles to form at least a portion of a flexible character or object. The flexible creation may be animated by one or more magnets or electromagnets brought near the flexible creation such that the iron particles blended with the flexible material may interact with the magnetic fields generated by the magnets. The infused iron particles may be attracted to the magnets, causing the object or portions of the object to move toward or away from the controlling magnets, thereby animating the object or portions of the object. Another implementation may use a magnetic field of a magnet to create an iron-infused flexible plant-like object that may be animated by a magnet. The object may be constructed of a flexible iron-infused material that is introduced into the magnetic field while the material is in a liquid or semi-liquid state. The iron filings blended within the flexible material may align with the magnetic field such that the object may take the shape of the magnetic field and hold that shape until the material has solidified.

摘要： A yeast homologue of mammalian DNA ligase IV is provided and a role for DNA ligase IV established in the Ku-associated DNA repair pathway. Additionally interactions between DNA ligase IV and XRCC4, and interaction between XRCC4 and DNA-PKcs/Ku are established, providing for assays for agents which modulate such interactions and therefore cellular DNA repair activity. Such agents are useful in treatment of cancers, retroviral infections, immune system disorders and other conditions in which cellular DNA repair activity plays a role. Individuals with a predisposition to a disorder in which DNA repair plays a role may be diagnosed, by screening for the presence or absence of a defect in XRCC4 and/or DNA ligase IV activity.

摘要： A control installation for solid cleaning members circulating in a heat exchanger includes interception arrangements interposed on the heat exchanger outlet pipe, a return pipe which recycles toward the inlet pipe a return flow containing the solid cleaning members, and a control device for the solid cleaning members. Between the interception arrangements and the control device there is a concentration device dividing the return flow into two parts. The return pipe is part of circulation arrangements which generate a counter-current flow through the interception arrangements and which include suction arrangements in line with the interception device to take up the solid cleaning members retained thereby.
