    • A snare strainer adapted to a snare drum comprises first and second strainers, which are attached to opposite positions on the exterior circumferential surface of a drum cylinder and by which a snappy member including snares is controlled to move in close contact with or separate from the backside drumhead upon operation of a switch mechanism. One end of an interconnection member included in the snappy member is held between first and second holding members of the first strainer, and the other end is held between third and fourth holding members of the second strainer. A tension adjustment screw is operated to adjust tension applied to the snappy member, which can be visually observed using the scale. Hence, it is easy for the human operator to attach and replace the snappy member and to replace the backside drumhead with another drumhead in a short period of time.

    • In a drumhead stretching mechanism adapted to a drum, a bolt for tightening or loosening a drumhead stretched at ends of a hollow cylinder under tension is inserted into a latch that is hooked on a clamp frame for clamping and holding outer circumferential ends of the drumhead, wherein a hollow space is formed inside of the latch to store an anti-extraction member having a U-shape, which is engaged with the bolt. Alternatively, the latch and anti-extraction member can be integrally interconnected together. Thus, it is possible to reliably prevent the bolt from being extracted, from unnecessarily rotating, and from floating in the axial direction of the bolt even when the bolt is taken out from a lug nut, which normally engages with the tip end portion of the bolt.

    • A musical instrument stand such as a hi-hat stand is basically constructed by a pair of cymbals, a stand member, a foldable tripod containing three legs, a pedal frame, an operation rod, a return spring, a transmission member, a pedal, a heel and an interconnection member. Normally, the return spring applies resilience to the operation rod, a lower end of which is being pressed upwardly together with a front end of the pedal by means of the transmission member. In addition, the interconnection member is formed in a U-shape, in which a bent portion is fixed to the heel of the pedal while ends are detachably attached to feet of the pedal frame. For storage and transportation of the musical instrument stand, the ends of the interconnection member being elastically deformed are disconnected from the feet of the pedal frame. Herein, straight portions of the interconnection member are held by holders, which are U-shape channels projecting downwardly from a back surface of the pedal. In addition, the pedal is lifted upwardly and is hooked on the stand member such that a pedal holding member, which is a hexagon head bolt being attached to the stand member, is engaged with a hole at a back-end portion of the pedal. This prevents the pedal and interconnection member from rotating and moving around when the musical instrument stand is transported. Thus, it is possible to improve transportability and portability of the musical instrument stand.

    • A musical instrument stand such as a hi-hat stand equipped with hi-hat cymbals is basically constructed by legs (or tripod), a stand member, a pedal frame, an operation rod and a return spring. Herein, the operation rod is inserted into an internal space of the stand member, which is a pipe being vertically supported by the legs, such that the operation rod is capable of moving up and down inside of the stand member. The pedal frame is placed horizontally in connection with the stand member and is equipped with a pedal having a prescribed angle against a horizontal plane. The operation rod is normally pressed upwardly by the return spring by means of a connection member. When a performer depresses a front end of the pedal with his or her foot, the operation rod which is interlocked with the pedal by means of a transmission member is forced to move downwardly against spring force of the return spring. A spacer having a prescribed thickness is attached to a lower end of the operation rod to slightly lower the operation rod in elevation, so that the angle of the pedal is slightly reduced by a prescribed unit angle. Thus, it is possible to optimally adjust the angle of the pedal with a simple structure by adequately designing the thickness of the spacer or by changing a number of spacers being attached to the lower end of the operation rod.
