摘要： A box for payout of a filamentary product such as cable or wire that is wound in a coil inside of the box. The box is constructed to retain the coil securely and utilize material in an efficient manner. Particularly, the box is adapted to retain a figure-eight coil of wire, which is often formed in an irregular shape. The box may include a payout tube that extends from a point outside of the box through a wall of the coil and into an interior point of the coil. The box serves to retain such a payout tube with an efficient amount of material and also provides for an improved method of assembling the box, the coil, and the payout tube.

摘要： A method and apparatus for adjusting the coupling reactances between twisted pairs contained within a data communications cable is disclosed. An isolation element is used to isolate one or more twisted pairs of wires from the other twisted pairs of wires contained within the data communications cable. The isolation element may be constructed of dielectric, conductive, or ferromagnetic materials or a combination thereof. It may also include various shapes, patterns, and/or windows for creating a specified level of crosstalk among the twisted pairs contained within the cable.

At least one of the inner layers is a nano-composite comprising nano-sized platelets and a flame and smoke retardant additive package dispersed in a polyolefin matrix. The outer layer is substantially resistant to flame spread and smoke evolution, substantially impermeable to moisture and moisture absorption and has a dielectric constant lower than about 2.5 and a dissipation coefficient lower than about 0.001 at frequencies up to about 650 MegaHertz.

摘要： Generally, aspects of embodiments of the invention include cable separator spline which comprises a plurality of longitudinally extending walls joined along a central axis of the spline, and a plurality of longitudinally extending channels.
