    • A method of manufacturing an optical waveguide is provided which enables a recognition device such as a CCD camera to easily recognize an alignment mark for positioning a mold for over cladding layer formation. The method includes the steps of: forming protruding cores and a protruding alignment mark on an upper surface of an under cladding layer on a substrate by a photolithographic method; and forming the over cladding layer by use of the mold positioned using the alignment mark as a guide. For the formation of the alignment mark, a photomask is used which has an opening pattern for alignment mark formation including an opening, and a light transmission amount reduction region provided around the opening and having an aperture ratio within a range greater than 10% and less than 80%. The alignment mark is formed to have a peripheral side surface in the form of an inclined surface.

    • An optical waveguide for a touch panel is capable of causing light beams emitted from a light-emitting optical waveguide section to enter a light-receiving optical waveguide section even when warpage or distortion occurs. Edges of an over cladding layer covering an end surface of a core for emitting a light beams and an end surface of a core for receiving the light beams respectively are configured in the form of light-emitting and light-receiving lens portions each having an outwardly-bulging arcuately curved surface as seen in vertical sectional view. The light-emitting lens portion has one of the following configurations: a configuration in which a light beam emitted from the light-emitting lens portion is adapted to diffuse in the direction of the height of the light-emitting lens portion; and a configuration in which the height of the light-emitting lens portion is less than that of the light-receiving lens portion.

    • A circuit board built-in connector and a catcher are provided. The circuit board built-in connector and the catcher can be miniaturized, have high cable pulled-out strength and resistance to noise and electrostatic property, and are easy for installation and high in line operability. The circuit board built-in connector for connecting an antenna element (10) with a cable (20) is comprised of a circuit board (1), a ground member (2), and a cable clamping portion (3). The circuit board (1) has connecting terminals and an electronic circuit is placed thereon. The ground member (2) is provided adjacent to a side portion of the circuit board in a perpendicular manner to a plate surface of the circuit board. Then, the cable clamping portion (3) extends from the ground member to hold the cable (20). The catcher (5), on one hand, set on a side of the antenna element, is provided with a ground terminal (50) for connecting the ground member with the ground on the side of the antenna element, and a power supply terminal (51) for connecting a connecting terminal of the circuit board with the antenna element.
