The lifting layer preferably has a thickness greater than about 0.5 micro meters and the recess has a depth ranges of about 0.1 micro meters to about 100 micro meters. Alternatively, the height difference between the upper surfaces of the control device and the organic electroluminescence device is controlled to be greater than about 2 micro meters or substantially equal to 2 micro meters.

摘要： A dual display unit comprising two OLED displays separately fabricated on two substrates. Each of the substrates has a peripheral area surrounding the respective display. A getter element is provided on one or both peripheral areas, substantially surrounding both the displays, for absorbing harmful gaseous elements in the display unit. A sealing material is applied along the edges of the two substrates enclosing the getter element so as to form a hermetic seal to the OLED displays. One or more further getter layers can be disposed between the first and second displays. The sealing material has a thickness sufficient to leave an air gap between the first display and the second display. The getter element and layers can be made of Group IA and Group IIA metals, and metal oxides, and can be disposed by a deposition process or a screen-printing spin coating

摘要： A display device having an electroluminescent display element disposed on a surface of a substrate and a scratch resistant layer disposed over or surrounding the display element. The scratch resistant layer has a hardness level of at least 2.5 on Moh's hardness scale. Additionally, a moisture and oxygen barrier is disposed between the display element and the scratch resistant layer. An adhesive material can be used to secure the scratch-resistant layer to the display device and to provide a hermetic seal to the display element. Preferably, the thickness of the scratch-resistant layer is equal to or greater than 10 μm.
