摘要： Disclosed is an electronic device including a lens having a stepped edge and a viewing area and more particularly, an electronic device having a display in which the viewing area of the lens is stacked with the active area wiring of a display panel and the stepped edge of the lens is stacked with the connectors on the periphery of the display panel. A housing portion is stacked with the stepped edge of the lens and the connectors on the periphery of the display panel. In this way, a maker of electronic devices can make use of the space occupied by the connectors of the display panel so that the active area of the display panel may occupy more of the total area of the surface of the device.

摘要： A handheld-size electronic device is provided with a display screen, or front housing or bezel surrounding the display screen, that is moveably mounted to the remainder of the electronic device. Detectors are provided for detecting movement of the display screen, or surrounding front housing part, and a microprocessor coupled to the detectors controls the electronic device based on that movement. This mode of user input allows users to control the electronic device with a quick hand motion and without requiring the level of focus that is typically required to operate the small buttons of a wireless device. This mode of user input can be use for various purposes including, for example, controlling digital music playback.

The disclosed methods and communication device may further include a sensor to that the processor will provide an indication whether there is data stored related to detect a user action with respect to the device so incoming communications since a silence mode commenced. The disclosed methods and devices may provide a user choice in how to control incoming communications of the mobile device.
