    • A method and a system for a handheld communication device is provided. The method includes: a testing a printed circuit board PCB assembly; identifying an emission point in the PCB; allocating a frequency radio (RF) absorber over or close to the emission point where the emission point is a potential source of electromagnetic interference (EMI) other than electronic components mounted on the PCB. The system includes a PCB assembly; and an RF absorber planar plate secured over or close to the emission point, for reducing the EMI from the emission point. A handheld communication device includes an antenna system and the PCB assembly with the RF absorber for isolating the antenna system from self-interference in the device.

    • A device for routing cables within a housing of an electronic device, an electronic device incorporating said routing device and a method of assembling an electronic device with said routing device are disclosed. The device includes a length of tube with a specific shape to route the cables in the tube within a housing of the electronic device. The specific shape includes bends to route cables to provide space between the cables and electronic components within the housing to reduce electromagnetic interference between the cables and electronic components within the housing. The electronic device has a modular assembly with interchangeable endcap modules that can be changed according to communication requirements. The cables connect antennas or other electronic components in the endcap module with electronic components within the device housing, such as a communications module. The tube can also be connected to the endcap in a hinged manner. The endcap module can be assembled with the portable electronic device by inserting the tubing containing the cable attached to the endcap into the housing and fastening the endcap to the housing to position the tube within the housing to route the cables to reduce electromagnetic interference.

    • An edge connectable lighting fixture assembly has a lighting fixture housing for housing a light source and components for supporting and electrifying the light source including wiring. The housing has at least one laterally extending edge portion and a connecting structure extending along at least a portion of the length of the edge portion with a wire passageway passing through the connecting structure. An edge connector arm has at least one terminal end and a connecting structure formed on the terminal end of the arm which mechanically connects with the connecting structure formed along the edge portion of the housing so that the housing can be mechanically connected at its edge to the terminal end of the edge connector arm. A wireway in the edge connector arm extends to and exits from the terminal end of the edge connector arm such that the wireway can be aligned with the wire passageway in the connecting structure in the housing edge portion by aligning the terminal end of the edge connector arm to the wire passageway. Electrical wires can be passed from the edge connector arm through the edge portion of the housing.
