摘要： This invention relates to a cold infusion process for fortifying coffee beans with one or more vitamin, non-vitamin, mineral, non-mineral, botanical, hormone, herb, neutraceutical, lipid, carbohydrate, amino acid, acid, salt, prebiotic, or probiotic functional additives. This invention also discloses an infused coffee bean produced by the process of infusing the coffee bean at a temperature of less than about 120° F. with a solution comprising water, a bridge initiator for acid salt bias, fortifying agent(s), and an acid in a quantity sufficient to reach a pH of about 3.65. Further, this invention provides a method for the infusion of a coffee bean with at least one fortifying agent at approximately room temperature.

摘要： An apparatus and method for improving the accuracy of Electrochemical Capacitance Voltage (ECV) profiling measurements by alerting the operator to the presence of surface films or gas bubbles during the etching process and by using this in-situ monitoring apparatus to determine the true measurement area at the end of the measurement cycle and using the new value to recalculate the data. By making the area measurement integral to the ECV tool, every sample measurement can be corrected for the true measurement area, leading to improved accuracy and eliminating a large source of error.

摘要： A transparent, nano-composite material and methods for making structures from this material are provided. In one embodiment, the material is made from a polycrystalline matrix containing dispersed particles of a harder material. The particles are less then about 100 nm. In other embodiments, methods for making structures from the material are provided. In one aspect, the methods include blending precursor powders for the matrix and reinforcing phases prior to forming and sintering to make a final structure. In other aspects, a precursor powder for the matrix is pressed into a green shape, which is partially sintered and exposed to a solution containing a precursor for the reinforcing phase, prior to be sintered into the final material. In another aspect, the precursor powder for the matrix is coated with a sol-gel precursor for the reinforcing material, then pressed into a green shape and sintered to form the final structure.

The wireless access device determines an upper limit of retransmissions of the packetized data for the mobile device in accordance with the data loss rate and the data transmission delay in the wireless network.

摘要： Devices and methods of using a personal emergency reporting system device is described. The personal emergency reporting system (PERS) device wakes up based on timing, manual activation or an accelerometer in the PERS device detecting an abnormal condition. The PERS device measures the orientation and correlate and sends statistics to a console. The PERS device determines whether a predetermined threshold has been met to determine whether a fall event has occurred or whether to enter a more active monitoring state. The PERS device also determines whether it is appropriate to transmit an alarm to a central monitoring station via the console and transmits the alarm if desired.

One embodiment in the form of a method includes receiving a video frame captured by a camera device into memory and estimating a type of motion from a previously received video frame held in memory to the received video frame. Conversely, when the type of motion is not the same motion type of the current keyframe group held in memory, the method includes creating a new keyframe group in memory and adding the received video frame to the new keyframe group.
