    • Methods and systems for time-synchronous voice annotation of video and audio media enable effective searching of time-based media content. A user record one or more types voice annotation onto corresponding named voice annotation tracks, which are stored within a media object comprising the time-based media and the annotations. The one or more annotation tracks can then be selectively searched for content using speech or text search terms. Various workflows enable voice annotation to be performed using media editing systems, or one or more stand alone voice annotations systems that permit multiple annotators to operate in parallel, generating different kinds of annotations, and returning their annotation tracks to a central location for consolidation.

    • The invention provides an editing system for editing and combining media material into a resulting media composition. The media may be film or video based material, and also may include audio material. The video may adhere to either NTSC or PAL timing. In response to editing instructions, an Edit Decision List (EDL) is produced that specifies the material that makes up the edited composition, and the order of presentation of this material in the output composition. The EDL specifies the input clips that are taken from the source material using source timecode and similarly defines the output order again according to a new time code, the record time code. The editing system produces an extended EDL that facilitates the downstream processing (after the editing has been completed) for post production tasks requiring the need to know accurately where edit points occur.

    • A mountain bike support stand made of a centrally-positioned, elongate body and four support legs attached to the bottom end of the elongate body is described. The centrally-positioned, elongate body has a top end, a bottom end, an opening along the elongate body from the bottom end to the top end, and a central, hollow core. The top end of the elongate body has a notch for engagement with a bottom bracket axle of a mountain bike. The top end of the elongate body also contacts a bottom bracket shell of the mountain bike. The opening along the elongate body and the central, hollow core of the elongate body accommodate a crank arm of a mountain bike. The four support legs attach to the bottom end of the elongate body and each support leg has a free end.
