摘要： A decorated resin molded article that can secure a high durability and can represent a sufficiently realistic metal texture in appearance is provided as follows. A metal thin film is directly formed on a design surface of a substrate by either a physical vapor deposition method or a chemical vapor deposition method to provide a metallic decoration. Additionally, a topcoat layer is formed with a thickness of 10 to 40 μm on the metal thin film. The topcoat layer comprises a transparent coating film having an adhesive property to both of the substrate and the metal thin film.

When a vacuum deposition polymerization for forming an organic polymer thin film is performed on a surface of a substrate repeatedly, in which a plurality of kinds of monomers evaporated in a plurality of evaporation source containers in vacuum state are introduced into a deposition chamber in a vacuum state and polymerized on a surface of the substrate arranged in the deposition chamber, each of the monomers in a liquid form is present in the evaporation source containers in a constant amount every time, at the beginning of the evaporation operation of monomers.

A polyurea film obtained by vacuum deposition polymerization of an aromatic alkyl-, alicyclic- or aliphatic diisocyanate monomer and an aromatic alkyl-, alicyclic- or aliphatic diamine monomer, where the diisocyanate monomer and the diamine monomer are selected from diisocyanate monomers and diamine monomers in a relation such that the difference in the activation energy required for the elimination from a substrate between these monomers is 10 kJ or less.
