摘要： A floating type composite magnetic head includes a slider, having an air bearing surface, made of a non-magnetic substance, a magnetic head core which is formed of a pair of magnetic cores defining a magnetic gap, or a pair of magnetic cores having a magnetic gap defined by a butting surface on which is formed a magnetic metallic thin film, and is fixed by bonding glass in a groove provided in a flow-out end of the air bearing of the slider, excitation coils wound in a window section of the head core, and a front gap surface of the magnetic head core being placed so as to oppose the magnetic recording medium. The magnetic head core back surface and the slider rear surface are formed as to be flush at least in the vicinity of the groove, and preferably have a maximum surface roughness of 3 to 8 .mu.m.

摘要： An automatic tensioner for applying a tension to a belt of an engine for a vehicle comprises a shaft fixedly mounted on a part of the vehicle. An arm has a proximal section which is supported by the shaft for angular movement thereabout, and a free end section of the arm is located on the side opposite to the proximal section. A pulley is supported by the free end section of the arm for angular movement thereabout and is in contact with the belt. A plate element is provided which is fixedly mounted on the shaft. A plurality of rolling elements are arranged between the proximal section of the arm and the plate element. The rolling element rolls between the proximal section of the arm and the plate element to support the proximal section for angular movement. The arm is moved angularly by a spring about the shaft to bias the pulley toward the belt.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a poly-V pulley includes a process for slitting and compressing the peripheral edge portion of an essentially flat blank for forming a widened and thickened flange wall. A series of relatively narrow, deep, V-shaped grooves are cold rolled. The poly-V pulley thus produced has the flange wall with poly-V grooves, from the intermediate portion of which a web extends radially inward. This structure provides good dynamic balance of rotation for the pulley and thus prolongs the life not only of the pulleys per se but also the belt to be put around the pulley. Further, the manufacturing method allows the manufacture of relatively small diameter poly-V pulleys.

The bonding glass includes SiO.sub.2 in the range of 6 to 11 wt %, B.sub.2 O.sub.3 in the range of 5 to 9 wt %, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 in the range of 2 to 5 wt %, PbO in the range of 55 to 70 wt %, Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 in the range of 5 to 15 wt %, TeO.sub.2 in the range of 1 to 10 wt % and CuO in the range of 0.5 to 2 wt %. A part of the PbO in PbO-SiO.sub.2 -B.sub.2 O.sub.3 -Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 glass is replaced with TeO.sub.2 and Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 and, at the same time, CuO is added in order to prevent the formation of a heterophase. Glass color change under high temperature and high humidity is prevented.
