    • A method is provided for channel modification within a macro cell of a cellular mobile radio access network. The method includes the steps of: providing a first control channel signal transmitted by a first transmitter, wherein the macro cell comprises the first transmitter and the macro cell overlaps at least partly with a radio coverage area created by a second transmitter; and providing a second control channel signal transmitted by the second transmitter, wherein the second control channel signal is transmitted using a same physical layer configuration as the first control channel signal. The second control channel signal is synchronized to the first control channel signal. The second control channel signal includes a duplication of the first control channel signal. The second control channel signal differs from the first control channel signal in at least one information element carried by the first control channel signal.

    • A method for checking the location of a femtocell includes receiving, by the femtocell and by a reference receiver having a known location, radio signals from at least three transmitters disposed at known locations. Each of the transmitters is at least one of a broadcast transmitter and a pilot radio signal transmitter configured to broadcast a pilot radio signal for checking the location of the femtocell in a frequency range outside frequency ranges used for mobile communication. Differences in delay of the radio signals from two of the at least three transmitters are determined based on reception times of the radio signals received by the femtocell and the reference receiver. The location of the femtocell is checked based on the determined differences in delay.

    • In a communication system a transmission-end input data flow with serially successive data is transmitted via a time-variant transmission channel. The transmission-end input data flow is divided into individual words. An a-priori reliability value is determined for each position of a transmittal data block by transmission-end modulation methods and coding methods, and the words of the input data flow are associated with corresponding positions of the transmittal data block according to the a-priori reliability values, and transmitted. An a-posteriori reliability value is formed on the receiving end for each word of the transmittal data block. The words having an a-posteriori reliability value falling below a pre-determined minimum value are re-requested and re-transmitted by acknowledgement of the corresponding positions.
