    • The invention relates to a wheel hub (1) for a running wheel of bicycle comprising a wheel hub axis (4), a wheel hub sleeve (2) having spoke flanges (3), and at least one bearing (5) located between the wheel hub axle (4) and the wheel hub sleeve (2), whereby arrangements are made for fixing the rotating part of a brake system, especially of a brake disk. Said arrangements consist of an adapter provided with fixing boreholes for fixing the brake disk and provided with an inner profile (8) which, on the wheel hub sleeve (2), can be connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a profile which is arranged on the wheel hub sleeve in a rotative manner and which is adapted to the inner profile. The invention is advantageous in that a universal wheel hub sleeve is produced which can be equipped either with or without a brake disk on which, however, the rotating part of another type of brake device can be applied.

    • A gearshift for bicycle gears includes an operating lever arranged so as to be rotatable around a stationary central axis for controlling an operating part arranged in a housing. The operating part is also rotatable around the central axis and has a take-up groove for receiving a gear-shifting cable, whereby a latch interacts with a tooth mechanism on the operating part for winding the cable. The gearshift further includes a release-and-hold mechanism consisting of a first latching disk having a first latching segment and a second latching disk having a second latching segment connected to the operating part, and of a release lever that interacts alternately with the first latching segment and the second latching segment. Arranged on the release lever are a first latching lug and a second latching lug, which alternately engage with the first latching segment and the second latching segment. The release lever is mounted pivotally about a rotational axis arranged substantially perpendicularly relative to the central axis in a stationary fashion. An advantage of the invention lies in the simple operability of the operating lever and the release lever, whereby attention has been given to the ergonomics of the lever that the bicycle gear can be shifted under any circumstances, even when the operating hand of a bicyclist is being used for operating a brake lever.

    • A shifter for the actuation of bicycle transmissions designed to be installed primarily on a handlebar of a bicycle. The shifter can have a stationary housing and a rotational housing that are connected together to form a single assembled unit. A traction cable having a nipple on one end can be inserted into t he first end of a passageway in the single assembled unit. The passageway is sized such that the nipple and the traction cable may both pass through the passageway. The nipple end and traction cable can be pushed through the passageway until the nipple end comes out of the other end of the passageway. The nipple can then be fastened to the rotational housing without having to dismantle the single assembled unit.

    • A twist-grip shifter for bicycles having a twist grip, which twist grip includes an outer grip part and an inner twist part.     • A rotary handle gearshift actuator for operating bicycle gears. The gearshift actuator includes a rotatable housing and a stationary housing. The rotatable housing has a planar surface and including an outer cylinder extending outwardly from the planar surface, the outer cylinder having an inside wall and a recess defined axially in the inside wall. The stationary housing has a planar surface and an inner cylinder extending outwardly from the planar surface of the stationary housing. The inner cylinder has a distal end and a bayonet hook extending radially outwardly from the distal end, the bayonet hook being configured for sliding engagement with the recess of the outer cylinder of the rotatable housing. The inner cylinder of the stationary housing is dimensioned to dispose concentrically within the outer cylinder of the rotatable housing so as to form a bearing point and so that the bayonet hook extends axially beyond the planar surface of the rotatable housing thereby permitting the recess of the rotatable housing to be rotated away from the bayonet of the stationary housing and thereby preventing the inner and outer cylinders from separating axially. The gearshift actuator further includes a latching mechanism for rotatively latching the rotatable housing to the stationary housing.
