摘要： Context based menus that can be dynamically positioned, laid out, and activated are provided for tap, swipe, and press-and-hold type interactions. Presenting a plurality of executable commands and/or links to submenus, a context based menu may be displayed in various shapes and forms in relation to selected content displayed on a user interface and/or other factors such as available display space, user attributes, and similar ones. Submenus presenting commands within a category may be displayed in place of, adjacent to, or overlapping with a parent context based menu. Menu position, contents, and/or shape may be adjusted in response to changes in selected content, user contact location, changes in user interface, and the like.

摘要： Architecture that enhances the visual experience of a slide presentation by animating slide content as “actors” in the same background “scene”. This is provided by multi-layered transitions between slides, where a slide is first separated into “layers” (e.g., with a level of transparency). Each layer can then be transitioned independently. All layers are composited together to accomplish the end effect. The layers can comprise one or more content layers, and a background layer. The background layer can further be separated into a background graphics layer and a background fill layer. The transition phase can include a transition effect such as a fade, a wipe, a dissolve effect, and other desired effects. To provide the continuity and uniformity of presentation the content on the same background scene, a transition effect is not applied to the background layer.

摘要： A system and method for providing pre-paid rebate cards. A rebate offer may be provided to a consumer in relation to a particular purchase. The consumer may then submit a request for redemption of the rebate. A rebate processing center may validate the request for redemption from the consumer and notify a financial institution of the request. The financial institution may subsequently issue the pre-paid rebate card to the consumer. In the case of a reusable rebate card, the financial institution may subsequently add value in the amount of the rebate to a pre-existing reusable rebate card. The financial institution may further fulfill payment obligations upon consumer use of the pre-paid rebate card.

A standard keyboard includes a plurality of selected function keys that have been programmed to change the document text color when activated. Each of the selected keys further includes color indicia to indicate the new text color that results from activation of that key. Without removing the user's hands from the keyboard, a user may produce text color changes while typing a document with no more effort than capitalizing text.

摘要： Hydraulic fracturing of earth formations from wells for producing gas or hydrocarbon liquids is carried out by extending the fracture to a predetermined length with clean or low proppant concentration fluids, then decreasing the rate of injection with low proppant concentration fluids to equal the fluid leakoff rate until the fracture tip is blocked or screened out. Alternatively, the proppant concentration could be progressively increased until tip screenout occurs. Injection rates are then increased, particularly in high permeability formations, to increase the fracture width.
