摘要： A ceramic gas tight high-pressure burner includes an ionizable filling. The burner further includes a discharge vessel having a discharge cavity with a volume in the range of 3 mm3 to 30 mm 3, and an internal filling pressure of the discharge cavity in the range from 0.1 MPa to 4 MPa at room temperature. An end closure of the burner may be designed as a three-part, a two-part or a one-part end closure device with a reduced crevice.

摘要： The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp comprising a discharge vessel (3) enclosing a discharge space (3b) and provided with two main electrodes (4,5). Each of the main electrodes is connected to a lead-through member (40,50), which is enclosed with a clearance space (10) by a closing part (30) and is connected thereto by means of a melting glass connection (9) in a gas-tight manner. According to the invention, the lead-through member is provided with a proturberance (51) reaching as far as the closing part in such a manner that the lead-through member (50) is passed with a clamping fit through the ceramic closure member. Thus, the lead-through member is fixed, as a result of which the manufacture of the lamp is considerably simplified.

摘要： A mercury-free high-pressure gas discharge lamp (HID [high intensity discharge] lamp) is described which is provided for use in automotive technology. To achieve improved lamp characteristics, in particular a substantially equal luminous efficacy in comparison with lamps of the same power and a mercury-free gas filling, as well as a highest possible burning voltage, the discharge vessel (1) is provided in its wall regions (10) which are lowermost in the operational position with a coating (15) which reflects at least a portion of the infrared radiation generated during operation, such that the temperature of the coldest spots, and in particular of the light-generating substances collected there, is raised, with the result that the light-generating substances can enter the gas phase in sufficient quantities also without mercury, and in particular with the use of a metal halide as a voltage-gradient generator.
