摘要： A transversely mounted vehicle powertrain includes a transmission differential encased in a housing, a half shaft bearing support, and a link shaft extending between the transmission differential housing and the half shaft bearing support. An inventive tubular member encircles the link shaft to increase the lateral ridigity of the powertrain. A bracket is attached to one end of the tubular member and is mounted to the transmission differential housing. The opposite end of the tubular member is secured to the half shaft bearing support. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the tubular member, the bracket, and the half shaft bearing support are cast as a single, integral metal piece.

摘要： A vibration damper includes a crankshaft drive sprocket, a bearing, a friction module, and at least one bumper. The bearing is seated directly upon the crankshaft of the engine and receives the vibrations of the crankshaft. Bosses of the bearing are received within the well of the drive sprocket. Specifically, the bosses are seated within gaps formed within the well by bumpers, which are also seated within the well. The gear is seated upon the raised collar of the bearing and held in secure contact with the bearing by a wave spring. A friction ring is located between the bearing and the drive sprocket. The friction ring dampens the vibrations transferred between the bearing and the drive sprocket.

摘要： In an overhead camshaft type engine, a valve actuation assembly including an elongated rocker arm finger follower, one end portion of which engages an end of the engine valve, a mid-portion of which engages the camshaft and another end of which is supported by a pivotal connection provided by an arm portion of an adjusting member having a body portion rotatable about a support shaft. Another arm portion of the adjusting member is engaged by an extendable valve lash adjuster which effectively moves the finger follower about the end of the valve and engages the follower with the camshaft at all times.
