    • Disclosed is a friction stir welding apparatus of a piston for a swash plate type compressor with variable capacity, which integrally bonds two piston members of round section with each other through friction stir welding without forming any hole in welded portions of the piston members, thereby improving durability of the welded portions and easily bonding the piston members by size regardless of the size of the outer diameter of the piston members. The friction stir welding apparatus includes: rotation supporting means for rotatably supporting first and second piston members coaxially coupled to each other; a welding means rotatably inserted into welded portions of the first and second piston members supported on the rotation supporting means, for carrying out friction stir welding along the rotation direction of the first and second piston members; support rollers elastically mounted on the lower portions of the piston members to arrange central axis lines of the piston members on central axis lines of the rotation supporting means when the piston members are supported on the rotation supporting means, and to vertically move within a predetermined height (H) range while supporting the piston members; and transferring means for transferring the welding means from the welded portions to a predetermined position after the friction stir welding of the welded portions by means of the welding means.

    • A film coating apparatus has a nozzle body and a coating material spreading element having an injection hole communicated with the inside of the nozzle body, and formed integrally with the nozzle body. The apparatus further has a rotation support element and a fixing element for rotatably supporting both ends of a piston for a fixed displacement swash plate type compressor and a pair of first coating material applying elements moveably installed above the rotation support element. The first coating material applying elements have a pair of first nozzles which apply coating material in uniform thickness to circumferential outer surfaces of both head parts of the piston. A second coating material applying element is installed above the fixing element such that it can be moved upward and downward and slid laterally to apply coating material in uniform thickness to a bridge part of the piston.

The friction stir welding apparatus includes: A support that rotatably supports coaxially coupled first and second pistons. A welder, rotatably inserted into welded portions of the first and second pistons supported on the support, performs friction stir welding along the rotation direction of the first and second pistons. Support rollers elastically mounted on the lower portions of the pistons have central axis lines of the piston members on central axis lines of the rotation support while the pistons are supported on the support. The rollers vertically move through a predetermined height while supporting the pistons. The welder is transferred from the welded portions to another position after welding of the welded portions.

    • The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a piston for a swash plate type compressor with variable capacity. More particularly, the present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a piston for a swash plate type compressor with variable capacity, which manufacture a piston from two piston members through friction stir welding without forming any hole in welded portions of the piston members, thereby improving durability of the welded portions and easily manufacturing a piston regardless of the size of the outer diameter of the piston members. A method of the present invention includes the step of; temporarily coupling the first and second piston members formed respectively; loading the first and second piston members on the support rollers lifted and lowered elastically by elastic spring; position controlling of the central axis line of the first and second piston members to that of the first and second supporting parts; rotatably supporting the first and second piston members on the first and second supporting parts; friction stir welding by rotating the rotation supporting means after a welding means is inserted to a welding portion with rotation; moving the welding means inserted to the welded poison to the predetermined position; and separating the welding means from the welded portion.
