In an aspect, a method is provided for time tracking in a device operating on a communication network, wherein the device performs a time tracking algorithm. The method includes determining a delay spread, and modifying at least one parameter used by the time tracking algorithm based on the delay spread. In another aspect, an apparatus is provided for time tracking in a device operating on a communication network, wherein the device performs a time tracking algorithm. The apparatus includes computation logic for determining a delay spread, and control logic for modifying at least one parameter used by the time tracking algorithm based on the delay spread.

To mitigate the deleterious effects of excess delay spread, time filtering is utilized. Time filtering is utilized to combat excess delay spread effects in channel estimation. The time filtering is performed in the presence of staggered pilots and helps in improving the channel estimate in the presence of excess delay spread.

In another aspect, an apparatus includes threshold logic configured to set a threshold value and compare a channel estimate to the threshold value to determine an interference estimate (Iest). 摘要： A user equipment (UE) generates a positioning state information (PSI) report that is transmitted in a lower layer channel container, e.g., in the Physical channel or Medium Access Control channel, to a network entity to reduce latency. For example, the PSI report is generated based on a plurality of PSI report elements determined from uplink (UL), downlink (DL) or UL and DL positioning measurements. Each PSI report element includes information related to positioning measurements performed by the UE. The PSI report elements are ordered, e.g., from highest priority to lowest priority, according to priority based rules. If the size of the PSI report elements is larger than the lower layer channel container, one or more of the low priority PSI report elements are omitted from the PSI report. A network entity may receive and process the PSI report based on the same priority based rules.

For example, the present disclosure presents methods and apparatuses for decoding a code block from a plurality of code blocks corresponding to a transport block, obtaining a reliability indicator that identifies a reliability of the decoding of the code block, comparing the reliability indicator to a reliability threshold, and determining whether to decode a subsequent code block from the plurality of code blocks based on the comparing. Furthermore, these methods and apparatuses may include determining not to decode at least one subsequent code block of the transport block where the comparing indicates that the reliability indicator is less than the reliability threshold. As such, device power is not unnecessarily consumed by decoding likely superfluous code blocks.

摘要： Time filtering channel estimates in a wireless communication system, such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) system, can be used to improve the quality of channel estimates. The characteristics of an optimal channel estimate time filter can depend on the manner in which the channel estimate is determined as well as the time correlation of channel estimates. A receiver can implement an adaptive time filter for channel estimates in which the time filter response can vary based on channel estimate parameters. The channel estimate parameters can include the manner of determining channel estimates, a time correlation of channel estimates, and an estimated Doppler frequency. The time filter response can be varied continuously over a range of responses or can be varied discretely over a predetermined number of time filter responses.
