摘要： An intervertebral implant comprising a core member operably coupled between an upper base member and a lower base member, and a core spacer positioned within an inner cavity of the core member. An outer cavity extends between the core member upper end and lower end, and radially between the inner cavity and an outer surface of the core member. A core member inner wall is formed between the inner cavity and the outer cavity, and a core member outer wall is formed between the outer cavity and the outer surface of the core member. At least one first locking member is positioned on at least one of the core member upper end and the core member lower end and at least one second locking member is positioned on an inner surface of at least one of the upper base member and the lower base member for locking engagement.

摘要： A spinal implant for positioning in a space formed between vertebral members. The implant includes a number of sections that are pivotally attached together at pivot axes. The pivot axes include connectors that extend through at least a portion of the sections and are configured for the sections to be pivotally attached for the implant to be flexible to facilitate insertion into the space and to be configurable to the space. One of the sections may include a receptacle that is contained within the section. The receptacle has a fixed size and shape that holds bone growth material. The fixed size and shape of the receptacle prevents the bone growth from escaping during flexing of the implant.

摘要： The present application is directed to devices and methods for spacing vertebral members. The devices may include a body with major and minor axes. A first pair of opposing sides may be disposed along the minor axis and a second pair of opposing sides may be disposed along the major axis. The device may be rotated from a first orientation with the first pair of opposing sides facing towards the spinous processes to a second orientation with the second pair of opposing sides in contact with and spacing apart the spinous processes. Methods may include inserting a body within an interspinous space between the first and second spinous processes. The body may be inserted in a first orientation with a major axis of the body being aligned with a centerline of the space. After insertion, the body is rotated to a second orientation with the major axis being aligned across the centerline of the space and contacting opposing ends of the body against inner edges of the spinous processes and spacing apart the spinous processes.

摘要： An interbody spacer includes an elongated body with a maximum width between opposite side walls and a maximum height between upper and lower bearing surfaces. The interbody spacer also includes a leading end nose connecting the side walls to facilitate insertion of the interbody spacer into a disc space between vertebrae in an insertion orientation, from which the interbody device is then rotated to position the upper and lower bearing surfaces in contact with the endplates of the adjacent vertebrae. The leading end nose forms a blunt convex nose between the upper and lower bearing surfaces to maximize the bearing surface area available to contact the adjacent endplates.

摘要： An intervertebral implant system for positioning between an upper vertebra and a lower vertebra is provided. The implant system comprises an intervertebral implant and a staple. The implant comprises an inferior plate and a superior plate, while the superior plate has a vertebral surface facing the upper vertebra and the inferior plate has a vertebral surface facing the lower vertebra. There are two grooves on at least one vertebral surface extending at an angle outward from a centerline on the vertebral surface as they extend from the anterior portion of the plate toward the posterior portion of the plate. When in use, the staple is associated with the two grooves for maintaining stability of the intervertebral implant and preventing backing out of the intervertebral implant. The staple also has two arms and has a generally rectangular shape prior to use.
