摘要： A method for implementing data communication between a host computer and a remotely-located processor peripheral device is disclosed. A remotely-located processor in control of the peripheral device receives a lists of descriptors or commands for constructing a list of descriptors from the host computer, determines differences between changes made to the lists of descriptors stored on the host computer and changes to the lists of descriptors stored on the remotely-located processor. Changes are made to the lists of descriptors on the remotely-located processor to eliminate the determined differences reflect the changes made to the lists of descriptors stored on the host computer; these changes are sent back to the host computer and the remotely-located processor operates the peripheral device by traversing its lists of descriptors and executing commands that correspond to the descriptors in the lists.

摘要： A distributed diagnostic imaging system (62) and method includes a data processor coupled to a variety of diagnostic imaging components through a network (80). 摘要： A pair of communications adapters each include a number of digital signal processors and network interface circuits for the attachment of a multi-channel telephone line. A bus connecting the communications adapters can carry data between a network line attached to one of the adapters and the digital signal processors of the other adapter. The digital signal processors on each card are connected to a host, or controller, processor. Each digital signal processor interrupts its host processor by transmitting an interrupt control block as data to a data memory of the host processor, and by subsequently sending an interrupt causing the host processor to examine the data memory. Preferably, the interrupt control block includes data representing a number of requested interrupts.

摘要： An ultrasound probe acquires a 3D image dataset of a volumetric region of the body. The 3D image data is reformatted into a sequence of successive parallel image planes extending in one of three orthogonal directions through the volume. The sequence of images (74, 84, 94) is preferably formatted in accordance with the DICOM standard so that a clinician can review the 3D image data as a sequence of DICOM images on an image workstation.
