    • The data put to the digital filter operation and the data not put to the digital filter operation are synthesized together at a predetermined distribution ratio to form a stereophonic sound image. Of the sound generated from one of the different sound systems, the sound reaching one ear is canceled and the only sound reaching the other ear is validated by generating a counterbalance sound component. Excess sound component is erased, the excess sound component being generated from the other sound system and being not desired for forming the stereophonic sound image.

    • An overload prevention device has a first rotational member for driving engagement with an input shaft of an auger transmission of a snow removing machine, a second rotational member engaging the first rotational member for rotation therewith over a predetermined torque range and for rotation relative thereto when a predetermined torque is exceeded, and a movable member mounted adjacent to the first rotational member for undergoing movement to restrict a rotating angle of the second rotational member. A detector outputs a detection signal each time the detector detects movement of the movable member in a direction away from the first rotational member when protuberances of the movable member engage protrusions of the first rotational member responsive to relative rotation between the first and second rotational members. A control unit stops operation of the engine when the detector outputs the detection signal a preselected number of times within a preselected time period.

    • A self-propelled walk-behind snowplow vehicle has a vehicle body and a vertical engine mounted on an upper part of the vehicle body. The vertical engine has a crankshaft disposed generally vertical and a cylinder head disposed generally horizontal to a longitudinal direction of the snowplow vehicle. The cylinder head projects from the vehicle body in a rearward direction of the snowplow vehicle. Left and right traveling units are mounted on a lower part of the vehicle body at left and right sides thereof. A muffler is connected to the engine and is disposed below the engine and located between the left and right traveling units. The vehicle body and the left and right traveling units together define a downward opening space within which the muffler is disposed.

    • A locking device for a parking brake is provided which ensures that the operation of locking a parking brake lever and the operation of releasing the locking of the parking brake lever can be carried out in a single stage.
