    • An electronic component includes a functional element, first and second collectors joined to the functional element, and an outer package integrally covering the functional element and the first and second collectors. The functional element has first and second end surfaces having circular shapes and a side surface having a cylindrical shape extending along a center axis. The element includes first and second electrode foils rolled about the center axis and exposed from the first and second surfaces, respectively. The outer package has first and second surfaces parallel to the first and second end surfaces of the functional element, and has first to fourth corners as seen from a direction of the center axis. The first corner is adjacent to the second corner. The first and second terminals are arranged at the first and second corners of the outer package, respectively. This electronic component can have a small size and a small height while reducing its equivalent series resistance.

    • To provide a filler-containing or non-filler-containing polytetrafluoroethylene granular powder having a high apparent density, a small electrostatic charge and a superior powder flowability and giving a molded product which is free from lowering of tensile strength and elongation and coloring attributable to the surfactant and has a high degree of whiteness, and a process for preparing the same. The granulation is carried out by wetting 100 part by weight of a polytetrafluoroethylene powder or a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene powder and filler with 30 to 60 parts by weight of an aqueous solution containing a nonionic surfactant having a hydrophobic segment comprising a poly(oxyalkylene) unit having 3 or 4 carbon atoms and a hydrophilic segment comprising a poly(oxyethylene) unit and then applying a mechanical force to the wetted polytetrafluoroethylene powder or the wetted mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene powder and filler.

    • A disclosure is made on a solid electrolytic capacitor, which facilitates an assembly work with simple construction to lead to a reduction of cost, realizes excellent equivalent series resistance characteristics and makes a thin configuration possible, and a manufacturing method thereof. With the solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention, a cathode lead frame has a connecting member to connect integrally with a cathode member of a capacitor element stack body on the side surface of a capacitor element extending in the thickness direction thereof. Capacitor elements, each provided with a through hole on an anode member, are stacked on top of each other in layers and connections between capacitor elements are achieved by disposing an anode lead frame between layers. Accordingly, when a plurality of anode members are joined to the anode lead frame via a through hole provided on respective anode members of capacitor elements, stabilized welding work is allowed to be performed without any of molten aluminum foil to be released outside.
