    • The disclosure discloses a method and a system for switching a working mode for a backward compatible broadband wireless network, in order to solve the technical problem of switching between each working mode when various compatible modes based on different channelized sets exist in the broadband wireless network. In the disclosure, an access point (AP) indicates its current working mode by a system configuration message; the AP instructs a non-AP associated with the AP to switch a working mode by a mode switching message or a frame exchange sequence; and the non-AP switches the working mode according to instruction information included in the mode switching message or the frame exchange sequence after receiving the mode switching message or the frame exchange sequence. Through the scheme of the disclosure, a wireless point can be switched between each working mode when various compatible modes based on different channelized sets exist in the broadband wireless network, thereby setting up a broadband wireless network supporting backward compatibility.

    • The present invention discloses a method and system for channel data transmission in a wireless network. The method includes: after a transmitting station and a receiving station determine a channel bandwidth to use for data transmission by interaction and negotiation, the transmitting station transmitting data to the receiving station with the determined channel bandwidth. The present invention further discloses a transmitting station. The present invention can solve the existing collision problem caused by contention for channels between the hidden stations and the current transmission stations, and thus can take full advantage of the effective transmission bandwidth in the large bandwidth system of a wireless network and increase the frequency spectrum utilization of large bandwidth, and at the same time ensure the backward compatibility with the large bandwidth system and its co-existence with conventional systems.

    • The disclosure provides a method and system for transmitting channel feedback information. The method includes: a transmitting station transmits, after obtaining a Transmission Opportunity (TXOP), a radio frame to a receiving station to request the receiving station to transmit channel feedback information; and the receiving station transmitting, after receiving the radio frame transmitted by the transmitting station, a radio frame including channel feedback information to the transmitting station, wherein a transmission end time of the radio frame including channel feedback information is allowed to exceed an end time set by a transmission time threshold of the TXOP. The technical solution of the disclosure solves the technical problem that the transmitter is unable to timely obtain channel feedback information from the receiver, enabling the transmitter to timely obtain the channel feedback information from the receiver even in the condition that the transmitter cannot estimate a data volume and a rate of the channel feedback information fed back from the receiving station and whether the time for feeding back the channel feedback information by the receiver would exceed the transmission time threshold value or not.
