摘要： A novel washing machine and a novel method for washing clothes. Depending on the type of cloth to be washed, one of four washing modes is selected. A pulsator and a spin-dry tub rotate in various directions and speeds depending on the wash mode selected. Thus causes varying degree of agitation during the wash cycle. A power switching motor controls a brake and a clutch to cause the pulsator and the spin-dry tub to rotate depending on the wash mode selected. Thus, the pulsator and the spin-dry tub are capable of rotating either forward, backward, agitate in both directions, or not to rotate the tub at all depending on the wash mode selected.

摘要： A clothes washing machine has an external casing, a tub suspended in the external casing, and a spin basket rotatably installed in the tub and accommodating laundry. A damper includes a first member installed at the lower end of the tub which can wobble together with the tub, and a second member for attenuating vibration transferred to the tub by a mutual action with respect to the first member. Nonlinear and irregular vibration transferred to the tub during a rotational movement of the spin basket can be effectively attenuated, to reduce noise of the washing machine and perform a more stable washing cycle operation.

摘要： A ball balancer for a washing machine having a rotary tub is provided. The ball balancer comprises an annular casing installed coaxially atop a cylindrical body of the rotary tub and having a radial inner wall and a radial outer wall to form an annular chamber therebetween. Balancing balls and viscous fluid are movably contained in the chamber. An annular reinforcing member is arranged coaxially with the outer wall and is disposed radially inside or outside of that outer wall for reinforcing the outer wall against radially outward forces. The reinforcing member may comprise a cylindrical band attached to the outer wall, or it may be defined by an upper portion of the cylindrical tub body.
