摘要： A method of producing a dental post for use in restoring or stabilizing one or more teeth includes the steps of creating a hole in a tooth and obtaining a woven hollow rope which is mounted over a mandrel and inserted into the hole. The mandrel is withdrawn and the hollow rope is filled with a core-paste material. In a presently preferred embodiment, the woven hollow rope is woven in the form of a braid and the mandrel is in the form of a hollow needle attached to a syringe. In the preferred embodiment, the hollow rope is provided with a closed end and the needle is withdrawn while simultaneously filling the hollow rope with a core-paste material. The invention includes a new use for hollow woven rope, which is preferably hollow braided rope, in the formation of non-metallic fiber reinforced posts for use in dental application varying from dental posts used to support cores in root canal procedures to providing structural support for bridges, pontics and the like. The invention further includes the dental post constructed of a hollow woven rope which is injected with a core-paste material.

The container is provided with structure such as a finger hold on the bottom or an elastic band for maintaining the container on one or more digits of a hand and the cover is provided with a ring or other suitable structure for maintaining the cover in operable engagement with another digit of the hand, such as a thumb, whereby the dispenser may be held in one hand and readily opened and closed to provide easy, quick, convenient access to the light sensitive substances by the dentist.

摘要： A dispenser for maintaining light sensitive substances utilized in the practice of dentistry shielded from light and providing easy and convenient access by the dentist includes a container and a cover therefor with the cover being hingedly attached to the container. In one embodiment, the cover is connected to the container by a resilient hinge and the cover may be released from engagement with the container by pushing forward on the hinge side of the cover. The resilient hinge will cause the cover to automatically open. Accordingly, the dispenser may be held in one hand and readily opened and closed to provide easy, quick, convenient access to the light sensitive substances by the dentist. Other embodiments include a conventional pin type hinge, insert holes for the attaching of color matching tabs, a removable or permanent thumb strap on the cover, a removable insert or tray which is disposable or a completely disposable dispenser. The cover may be retained in engagement with the container by sealing lips or a separate latch.
