摘要： A pipe having an axially extending bore defined by a smooth inner wall fused to a corrugated outer wall is provided. The corrugated outer wall has axially adjacent, annular, outwardly-extending crests separated by valleys. The pipe further includes an outer layer fused to the outer wall, the outer layer having adjacent concave portions and convex portions, the concave portions being aligned with corrugation valleys of the outer wall so that each concave portion of the outer layer extends between at least two corrugation crests. A method of improving the resistance to deformation of a corrugated pipe having a smooth inner wall fused to an outer wall defined by annular crests and valleys is also provided.

摘要： A sealing member for sealing a joint between a pipe and a wall defining an opening is provided. The sealing member has an annular base, a projection, and preferably first and second annular flanges. The annular base has a bottom and first and second sidewalls. The projection is attached to the base for anchoring the sealing member within the wall. In some embodiments it extends radially outwardly from the base. The first and second annular flanges extend from opposite sidewalls of the base. The first and second flanges each have a top and a bottom surface. The top surfaces of each can have an annular depressed portion, and each of the bottom surfaces can have a plurality of grooves formed therein. Preferably, the base includes at least one cavity extending completely around the circumference of the sealing member. There is also disclosed the use of the sealing member in a concrete manhole structure having a wall defining an annular opening through which a pipe having an outer surface can pass so that a joint is defined between the wall and the outer surface, with the sealing member being encased in appropriate grout to secure the sealing member to the concrete structure. The sealing member thus effectuates sealing of the joint between the pipe and the wall defining the opening.

摘要： A highway culvert inlet collar is disclosed having a plate member and a pipe adapter. The plate member has a front face, a rear face, a peripheral side edge intermediate the front face and the rear face, and a tapered inlet face portion adjacent the front face. The front face has a front face effective width at least twice that of the tapered inlet face portion effective width of the tapered inlet face portion. The pipe adapter has a first end and a second end, an interior surface and an exterior surface. The front face has an interior edge and an exterior edge. The tapered inlet face portion is located centrally of the front face and is preferably angled 45° rearwardly from the front face. The pipe adapter is preferably oriented perpendicularly to the rear face. The tapered inlet face portion extends from the front face interior edge to a tapered face interior edge. The pipe adapter is attached to the plate member intermediate the peripheral side edge and the tapered face interior edge. The collar is also disclosed in combination with plastic pipe, preferably corrugated.
