    • A rim rolling apparatus is provided having a plurality of rim rolling screws, a motor and a pneumatic cooling circuit. Each screw has a hot section and a cool section provided downstream of the hot section. The motor is configured to drive the screws in rotation to feed thermoformed articles between the screws to roll lips of the articles. The pneumatic cooling circuit extends within the screw from an exit end towards an entrance end. The cooling circuit is provided in thermally conductive relation with the cool section and insulated from the hot section.

    • A shotgun sight is provided with a barrel, a sighting rib, a rib support member, a pitch adjustment mechanism, and a latch mechanism. The rib support member is provided on the barrel. The pitch adjustment mechanism is provided between the rib and the rib support member to adjust pitch of the rib relative to the barrel. The latch mechanism has a pair of coacting base plates. A first base plate is provided along a proximal end of the rib and a second base plate is provided on the rib support member. Each base plate has an array of complementary-shaped interlocking projections. One of the base plates is configured to be forcibly urged apart from the other base plate to reposition the array of interlocking projections in order to selectively position the rib relative to the barrel at one of a plurality of locations each corresponding with a unique pitch for the rib relative to the barrel. An adjustable gun sight is also provided.

    • A combination thermoforming trim press and comminuting apparatus is provided. The combination includes a horizontal trim press, a comminuting apparatus, and a height-adjustable delivery chute. The trim press has an exit for downwardly delivering a scrap web of thermoformable sheet material. The comminuting apparatus is provided beneath the exit and has an entrance for receiving the scrap web. The height-adjustable delivery chute is provided between the trim press exit and the comminuting apparatus entrance and includes a first section, a second section telescopically received relative to the first section to provide height adjustment, and a fastener for securing the chute at a selected height to substantially close any gaps between the trim press exit, the comminuting apparatus entrance and the delivery chute to eliminate any need for a shielding cage to prevent internal finger and limb access by an operator.

    • An oven control system and user interface are provided for setting a target temperature for different zones within an oven. A thermocouple is provided in each zone within the oven to monitor the realized temperature within the specific zone of the oven. A plurality of different heater elements are also provided within each zone of the oven. The control system enables a user to easily and efficiently select a target setpoint temperature for each zone within the oven, or for the chair rail, or the sag rails. For the case of the oven, the setpoint provides a virtual heat setpoint for the complete oven section which is then realized by controllably regulating operation of the various unique heating elements within that zone of the oven to realize the desired setpoint temperature within that specific zone of the oven. Such control is realized by way of proportional integral differential (PID) loops that are adjusted for each of the heater elements in order to realize the desired virtual heat setpoint for the specific zone of the oven.

    • A comminuting apparatus is provided having a frame, a set of overlapping scissor rolls, a shear outtake manifold, and a pneumatic conveyor. The frame has an enclosure with an entrance for receiving waste material. The set of overlapping scissor rolls is carried for co-rotation within the enclosure. The scissor rolls are operative to comminute the waste material into subdivided pieces. The shear outtake manifold is configured to collect the subdivided pieces of waste material. The pneumatic conveyor includes a source of air flow and a pneumatic duct. The pneumatic duct communicates with an upstream of the shear outtake manifold, and is operative to deliver an airstream from the source of air flow into the shear outtake manifold. The airstream entrains the subdivided pieces and removes the subdivided pieces from the shear outtake manifold.
