    • A plasma display apparatus is provided that includes a front substrate, a plurality of first and second electrodes formed on the front substrate, a rear substrate that is faced with the front substrate, a plurality of third electrodes formed on the rear substrate, and a discharge cell that is disposed where the first, and second electrodes intersect with the third electrode, wherein at least one of the plurality of the first and second electrodes is formed with one layer, wherein a thickness of at least one of the plurality of the first and second electrodes ranges from 3 μm to 7 μm. By removing the transparent electrode consisting of ITO, the manufacturing cost of the plasma display panel may be reduced. Further, by forming projecting electrodes protruded to the opposite direction of the center of the discharge cell or in the direction of the center of the discharge cell from the sustain electrode line or the scan electrode, the firing voltage may be lowered, and the discharge diffusion efficiency in the discharge cell increased.

    • The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus. The plasma display apparatus comprises a front substrate; a first electrode, a second electrode and a dielectric layer formed on the front substrate; a rear substrate faced with the front substrate; a third electrode formed on the rear substrate; and a barrier rib which is formed on the rear substrate and patitions discharge cells, wherein at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode is formed with one layer, and the width of at least one of barrier ribs which patition the discharge cells in the outside of an effective display region is wider than the width of barrier ribs which patition the discharge cells in the inside of the effective display region. The plasma display apparatus according to the present invention removes a transparent electrode consisting of ITO to reduce the manufacturing cost of the plasma display panel. By forming projecting electrodes protruded in the direction of the center of the discharge cell or in the opposite direction of the center of the discharge cell from the scan electrode or the sustain electrode line, the firing voltage can be lowered and the discharge diffusion efficiency of the discharge cell can be increased.

    • The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus. The plasma display apparatus includes an upper substrate; first and second electrodes formed on the upper substrate; a lower substrate disposed opposite to the upper substrate; and a third electrode formed on the lower substrate. At least one of the first and second electrodes is formed as one layer, and includes first and second electrode lines formed in a direction intersecting the third electrode and a connecting electrode that connects the first and second electrode lines. The distance between the first and second electrode lines has a value of 2 or more in one discharge cell. Accordingly, manufacturing cost of a plasma display panel can be saved by removing a transparent electrode made from ITO. Further, a discharge firing voltage can be reduced and the luminance of a display image can also be improved by variably adjusting the distance between two electrode lines constituting a scan or sustain electrode.
