    • An electrophoretic display (EPD) device adapted to prevent a dispensed fluid sealant from moving toward a non-active area is disclosed. The EPD device includes: a first substrate configured to include a flexible plate divided into an active area and a non-active area; a thin film transistor array formed on the active area of the plate; a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; an electrophoretic film, between the first and second substrates, configured to contain charged particles driven depending on electrophoresis; a sealant, between the first and second substrates, hardened from fluid state; a sealant block formed on a sealant formation region to prevent the fluid sealant from flowing into the non-active area before hardening of the fluid sealant, wherein the sealant block is configured to include a first dam, a second dam, and a furrow between the first and second dams.

    • A method of manufacturing an LCD panel that avoids erosion of a transparent conductive film. The method includes forming a TFT substrate with an active region and with a pad region having a transparent conductive film. The TFT substrate is covered with a light-shielding material. That light shielding material is patterned to form a black matrix in the active region and an erosion barrier film over the transparent conductive film in the pad region. Beneficially, the black matrix and the erosion barrier film are formed of the same material, using the same mask. Color filters are electrodeposited from an aqueous solution without erosion of the transparent conductive film in the pad region.

    • Provided is an electrophoretic display device and a method of manufacturing and repairing the electrophoretic display device. The electrophoretic display device includes: a gate line, a gate electrode, and a common electrode, separated a predetermined distance from the gate line, which are formed on a substrate; a gate insulation layer formed on an overall surface of the substrate including the gate line; a data line configured to define a pixel area by crossing the gate line; a source electrode configured to extend from the data line; a drain electrode separated from a predetermined distance from the source electrode; a protection layer formed on an overall surface of the substrate including the data line, the source electrode, and the drain electrode; a pixel electrode formed on the protection layer and connected to the drain electrode; an electrophoretic film formed on the substrate including the pixel electrode; a common line formed on a boundary portion between the pixel areas and configured to connect the common electrodes formed in the respective pixel areas; and a repair hole formed by removing the protection layer corresponding to the common line to expose the gate insulation layer.
