摘要： Presented herein are techniques for initiating a night-time mode of operation in an implantable hearing prosthesis in response to detection of night-time recharging operations. More specifically, an implantable hearing prosthesis comprises a rechargeable battery that is configured to be recharged via an external night-time charging device, such as a pillow charger. The implantable hearing prosthesis is configured to detect inductive charging of the rechargeable battery by the external night-time charging device. In response, the implantable hearing prosthesis is switched to a night-time mode of operation.

摘要： An implantable auditory prosthesis includes at least one implantable sound sensor that is configured to detect sound signals from within a recipient and to use these internally detected sound signals for use in stimulating the recipient. The implantable auditory prosthesis is also configured to receive sound signals from an external sound source and to use the externally detected sound signals for use in stimulating the recipient. The implantable auditory prosthesis uses the sound signals received from the external sound source to stimulate the recipient, while restricting the use of sound signals detected at the implantable sound sensor when the external sound source is not present/available to provide sound signals to the implantable auditory prosthesis.

摘要： Presented herein are techniques for determining an arrangement of complex stimulation channels to optimally distribute sensory information across the channels of a multi-channel tissue-stimulating prosthesis. A tissue-stimulating prosthesis may initially be associated with a set of complex stimulation channels. A stimulation efficiency is determined for each complex stimulation channel within the set of complex stimulation channels. A first complex stimulation channel from the set of complex stimulation channels that has an associated stimulation efficiency that is below a stimulation efficiency limit is identified. The first complex stimulation channel is combined with an adjacent/neighboring complex stimulation channel to create a combined complex stimulation channel. The combined complex stimulation channel replaces both the first complex stimulation channel and the adjacent complex stimulation channel within the set of complex stimulation channels.
