摘要： A line buffer apparatus with an extendible command queue length, includes a first level command queue for receiving commands from a computer; a line buffer for temporarily receiving video data or a command queue, the line buffer including a data input port and a data output port; a first multiplexer and a second multiplexer respectively connected to the data input port and the data output port of the line buffer for operatively enabling the line buffer to receive command data coming from a first level command queue or video data coming from a memory, and to output data into a graphic engine or a two dimensional operating device; a controller for controlling the two multiplexers to selectively connect the line buffer between the first level command queue and the graphic engine so as to treat the line buffer as a second level command queue when the line buffer does not temporarily store video, thereby flexibly extending the command queue length of an video window accelerator.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed to convert a non-interlaced computer graphics signal which consists of contiguous scan lines into an interlaced video signal which alternately consists of even fields and odd fields. The converting apparatus includes a receiving means, a low-pass filter and a line buffer. The receiving means sequentially receives a scan line. The line buffer stores the brightness signals of the first and the second scan lines before the received scan line. And the low-pass filter receives the sequential contiguous scan lines from the line buffer and the displaying scan line, weights the brightness signals of these scan lines and outputs the scan lines with the weighted brightness signal and a halved refresh rate to serve as the even field and the odd field of the interlace video signal.

摘要： A method for controlling a liquid crystal display (LCD) module to show interlaced picture data thereon includes the step of providing a data field of the interlaced picture data, which data field includes a series of line picture data, to the LCD module. Twin line clock pulses are then provided to the LCD module to control latching of each line picture data thereby. Finally, a frame start pulse is provided to the LCD module whenever a first one of the line picture data is provided to the LCD module. The width of the frame start pulse is varied so that the LCD module can show the first one of the line picture data on a first even line thereof when the data field is an even data field and on a first odd line thereof when the data field is an odd data field. The twin line clock pulses and the frame start pulse ensure that the line picture data of the even and odd data fields are shown alternately and respectively on even and odd lines of the LCD module.
