    • The present invention relates to a power amplifying circuit of a mobile terminal and, more particularly, to a voltage gain control circuit in a mobile terminal which is capable of acquiring a variable voltage gain. The present invention includes a transceiver controller to produce a voltage gain control signal and transforming analog and digital signals; a first driving voltage controller for generating a reference voltage for a predetermined voltage gain according to the voltage gain control signal; a DC voltage transformer for transforming source voltage into a first driving voltage according to the reference voltage of the first driving voltage controller; a second driving voltage controller for generating a second driving voltage according to the voltage gain control signal; and a power amplifier for generating a predetermined voltage gain according to the first driving voltage supplied by the DC voltage transformer and the second driving voltage supplied by the second driving voltage controller.

    • Disclosed is a power control apparatus of a complex terminal which includes a main battery and an auxiliary battery. The power control apparatus includes: a DC/DC converter for outputting an auxiliary power supplied from the auxiliary battery after adjusting a level of voltage of the auxiliary power to a required input voltage level of the complex terminal; a second voltage sensor for measuring voltage of a main power outputted from the main battery, and controlling the auxiliary power of the auxiliary battery to be inputted to the DC/DC converter before the measured voltage of the main power becomes lower than a predetermined voltage; and a first voltage sensor for interrupting supply of the main power from the main battery to the complex terminal and controlling the auxiliary power outputted from the DC/DC converter to be supplied to the complex terminal, when the measured voltage of the main power becomes lower than the predetermined voltage.

    • A mobile terminal includes a touch screen panel installed in an upper surface of a display unit formed in an upper surface of the mobile terminal. The touch screen panel includes an upper panel and a lower panel disposed opposite each other; and a detection unit installed in the touch screen panel beneath the lower panel thereof. The detection unit detects an approach of an external object and for determining whether to allow or invalidate an input of a manipulation instruction from a user through the touch screen panel. A portion of lower panel of the touch screen panel is not included in a portion of the touch screen panel at which the detection unit is positioned. Thereby, diffused reflection of light around the detection sensor can be reduced, thereby preventing an erroneous operation of the detection unit when detecting the approach of an external object.

    • A dual band antenna for a radio terminal consists of a retractable whip antenna and a helical antenna with irregular pitches, wherein the whip antenna is independent of the helical antenna. The helical antenna includes first and second helical portions having first and second pitches, respectively and the first and second helical portions are operable at different frequency bands independently. The whip antenna includes a conductive core line, a conductive substance covering a first portion of the conductive core line to serve as a choke and an isolation element extending from an upper end of the conductive core line, for filling a gap between the conductive core line and the conductive substance. Here, only the first portion of the conductive core line is operable at a first frequency band and the entire conductive core line is operable at a second frequency. A fixing element fixes the helical antenna and the whip antenna to the radio terminal. The fixing element has an upper end connected to a lower end of the helical antenna and a through hold via which the whip antenna is inserted into an interior of the radio terminal.

    • A dual band antenna with a simple and compact structure includes an inductor, first and second rod-like radiating elements connected to opposite ends of the inductor, with dielectric material surrounding both the inductor and the joining portions of the first and second radiating elements on the respective ends of the inductor. A conductive housing surrounds the dielectric and supports the inductor and the joining portions of the first and second radiating elements. The housing and dielectric create a capacitance, so that an LC resonant circuit is formed in conjunction with the inductor. The LC circuit is designed such that only one radiating element radiates at the higher band of the dual operating band, whereas both radiating elements radiate at the lower band.
