摘要： A system and method are provided for tracing bank notes or, specifically, counterfeit money. In one example of the tracing system, an automatic teller machine (ATM) electronically connected to one or more devices is provided. The one or more devices comprise a deposit device configured to receive an initial bank note; an image extraction device configured to extract one or more initial images from the initial bank note; a transaction log device configured to attach a transaction log to the one or more initial images, wherein the deposit device is further configured to receive a subsequent bank note, wherein the image extraction device is further configured to extract one or more subsequent images from the subsequent bank note; and a comparison device configured to compare the one or initial images to the one or more subsequent images in order to obtain a comparison result.

摘要： A digital pen-based application form filling system with a modification prevention function, which eliminates a possibility that digital information initially written in digital paper using a digital pen may be modified deliberately or accidentally. The system prints a new fine pattern over areas in already written digital paper whose contents one wishes to protect against being modified. This printing adds a fine pattern to an original dot pattern already present on the digital paper to make it theoretically impossible to enter information into these areas using the digital pen.

摘要： A camera (10) captures a subject facial image. A unit (30) generates a tracking signal containing feature extraction data. In conjunction with a memory store (40), the unit (30) generates an output signal representing a substitute face having the features of the subject face. To generate the tracking signal, the facial area is detected (3103, 3107-8) initially and used in location of the mouth (3102, 3110-3114) and eyes (3104-6, 3115-3118). Only the H and S components are used for detecting the facial area; and only the S and V components for the mouth within the facial area. A face vector may be generated (50) using the tracking signals.

The generating facial area signal has masks applied by a unit (12) which supplies data to mouth area and eye area detection units (14,15). A ratio of a number of IC tags having sent information indicative of the fact that the IC tags are mounted on the same object member to a number of IC tags from which the information is to be sent originally is determined and the genuineness/counterfeit discrimination is performed with the ratio. With regard to adopting a combination of genuineness/counterfeit discrimination, information necessary for detection is added to goods and information of the inspection area is stored in the IC tags. When the number of defective IC tags is large, goods mounted with the IC tags is collected.
