    • A brushless motor comprises a rotor, a driving magnet which is rotated integrally with the rotor and a stator core disposed so as to oppose the driving magnet and being wound therearound with a coil. The stator core has salient poles with umbrella portions except for notched portions thereof. A magnetic sensor is disposed in the vicinity of the stator core in a first notched portion prepared by partly removing two corresponding adjacent salient-pole umbrella portions of the stator core for detecting a magnetic pole of the driving magnet. A second notched portion is formed by partly removing two corresponding adjacent salient-pole umbrella portions in a zone of the whole circumferential area of the stator core. The second notched portion is magnetically balanced with the first notched portion.

    • A brushless motor comprises a bearing rotatably supporting a spindle and a rotor mounted on the spindle. A drive magnet rotates integrally with the rotor. A stator core is disposed to face the drive magnet and has a drive coil wound thereon. A base plate is included on which the stator core is mounted. A bearing holder is provided for holding the bearing, which engages the base plate. A fixing plate is arranged for positioning and fixing the bearing holder and the stator core on the base plate. A fastening member is arranged for fastening the fixing plate to the base plate with bearing holder disposed between the base plate and the fixing plate and with the fixing plate engaged with the bearing holder.

    • A motor speed control device for a small DC motor in which the speed of rotation of the motor is maintained stable during ambient temperature changes and changes in the load applied to the motor. A temperature compensation resistor is coupled in series with a voltage divider circuit and the combination thereof coupled across the motor. A motor control circuit is provided having first through fourth control terminals. The first control terminal is coupled to the junction between the temperature compensation resistor and the voltage divider circuit, the second control terminal to the voltage division point, the third control terminal to the junction between the voltage divider circuit and the motor, and the fourth control terminal is coupled to ground. The motor control circuit includes an error detecting circuit having inputs coupled to the first and second control terminals with a voltage reference source coupled in series with the first input terminal to the error detecting circuit. The output of the error detecting circuit drives both shunt transistors coupled between the first and fourth control terminals and a drive transistor means coupled between the first and fourth control terminals.
