摘要： In an electric power transmission network, comprising several substations interconnected by power transmission lines, a communication device of a substation communicates over a power transmission line to a communication device of a neighboring substation by using command signals in a frequency band and a guard signal located in a first half of the frequency band. For successive lines, a repeating sequence of different schemes of command signals is used, each of the schemes comprising only command signals with frequencies located in a second half of the frequency band. By using a repeating sequence of different schemes for successive lines and by using in each of the schemes only command signals with frequencies located in one half of the reserved frequency band, it is possible to reduce the number of different frequency bands required in electric power transmission networks for transmitting command signals used for coding (tele-) protection commands.

A communication channel is monitored based on regular network traffic, by evaluating messages or data packets carrying real-time operational data as a payload. A permanent determination of a channel quality, including appropriate alarming in case the channel quality is found insufficient, is based on an evaluation, at a receiving node, of data packets continually transmitted by a sending node. These continually or repeatedly transmitted data packets can include identical payloads reflecting current states rather than state changes as operational data.

摘要： In a method and a device for redundant transmission of protection commands between remote tripping devices (1, 8), useful information which represents a protection command or a rest signal is transmitted by a first remote tripping device (1) in at least two time slots via a first interface (2) to a first multiplexer (3), and is transmitted via different transmission paths (4, 5) by the multiplexer (3) based on the time slots. A second multiplexer (6) receives the useful information via the different transmission paths (4, 5), and transmits each useful information item via a time slot, which is allocated to the respective transmission path (4, 5), in a second interface (7) to a second remote tripping device (8).
