    • The invention relates to a transformer (10, 10′) with a core (11) which has a center piece (11a) with a first and a second flange (11b, 11c), in which a first and a second winding (12, 13) of the transformer (10, 10′) are wound on the center piece (11a).To produce a transformer as compact as possible which allows simple adaptation to limit leakage currents, it is proposed that the winding end pieces (12a, 12b) of the first winding (12) guided out of the winding body are guided through at least one recess in the first flange (11b) and that winding end pieces (15a, 15b) of the second winding (13) guided out of the winding body are provided which form at least partly loose line ends. Alternatively, the winding end pieces (12a, 12b) of the first winding (12) guided out of the winding body are guided immediately about the edge of the first flange (11b) and connected with connecting elements (14a, 14b) which are arranged on the side of the first flange (11b) opposite the center piece (11a).

    • The present invention relates to a bidirectional flyback switch mode power supply (SMPS), such as a bidirectional flyback converter, and a method for operating it. The SMPS comprises a transformer having primary and secondary windings inductively coupled together, said primary winding being coupled to a voltage input of the converter and said secondary winding being coupled to a voltage output of the converter; a primary control unit comprising a primary switch arranged in series with the primary winding and a secondary control unit comprising a secondary switch arranged in series with the secondary winding. The primary control unit is adapted to compensate input voltage variations, and the secondary control unit is adapted to provide a controlled output power on the secondary side.

    • An amplifier circuit (11) for amplifying electric signals, comprising controllable switching means (2) for generating a block wave signal whose amplitude varies between first and second supply voltage values during operation, filter means (9) for filtering the block wave signal so as to produce an output signal (10). The filter means (9) comprise a self-inductance (16) and a capacitance (17). The amplifier circuit (11) furthermore comprises modulating means (3) for pulse width modulation of the block wave signal by driving the switching means (2) in response to an input signal (16) to be amplified, and correction means (12) for providing from a reference value (Uref) derived from the input signal and an output signal value proportional to the output signal (10) a correction signal for controlling the modulating means (3). In order to correct for interferences in the output signal (10), means (13) are provided for deriving a reference current (Iref) from the input signal (6) as well as means (8) for providing a filter capacitance current proportional to the current though the filter capacitance (17). The correction means (12) are arranged for providing a current correction signal from the reference current (Iref) and the filter capacitance current (18).
