摘要： Portable, two-way ECG data-storage apparatus for the selective window-capturing of successive plural-lead ECG data records. The apparatus receives its information from the analogue output terminals in a conventional ECG machine, and operates a store multiple-lead data in flagged time-windowed fashion in order to assure stable signal information and efficient meory use. Playback can occur either directly in an analogue manner back to any selected ECG machine, and/or audibly for listening to by a user or for transtelephonic transmission.

摘要： An electrical patch and associated system for acquisition of physiological data is described. The patch has a design that enables a variety of configurations depending upon the requirements physiological measurements to be made. Patches with single input channels to patches with multiple input channels, processing capabilities and radio communication can all use the same physical configuration. The design includes a battery management system to enable long term data acquisition and an optimization process that includes mirroring of algorithms on the patch and devices local to the user with algorithms running on a centrally located server. The server can then optimize data acquisition and analysis algorithms. The components of the system and methods of use are included.

The thermal cover encases all of the torso and neck, and portions of other body areas. Heating may be distinctly non-uniform, being applied to the body surface only in special regions where the body's capacity for heat uptake may be relatively high. In sum, the system may monitor deep body core temperature, direct heat to the body core where it may be most needed, and controls therapy over time to restore normothermia.

By a preferred method of the invention, a simplified digital filter implemented in firmware ensures that only ECG and event data are recorded at the exclusion of noise and motion artifacts. By another preferred method of the invention, a battery life prediction method is used to extend the useful life of the battery and to indicate to the patient when the battery should be replaced. Event data that may be recorded and tele-transmitted along with the ECG data include time-of-day or elapsed time markers, as well as markers or indications of the detection of any pulses produced, for example, by an implanted pacemaker or an implanted cardio-verter/defibrillator monitor (ICDM).
