摘要： A reconfigurable wall system includes a solid-core wall which is comprised of a plurality of solid-core wall panels arranged in two adjacently abutting vertical layers. Each of the adjacently abutting layers of the solid-core wall comprises a plurality of solid-core panels arranged in edge-to-edge abutment. The abutting edges form vertical seams. The vertical seams in each of the layers of the solid-core wall are laterally offset from the seams in the adjacent layer to eliminate gaps through which light and sound can penetrate or leak. A plurality of vertical studs are disposed on opposite faces of the solid-core panel. Each of the studs is aligned with a stud on the opposite face of the solid-core wall, and a plurality of horizontally spaced apart fasteners extend through the solid-core wall and connect the aligned studs on opposite sides of the solid-core wall. A plurality of wall covering panels are mounted on the vertical studs. The reconfigurable wall system provides improved fire resistance and acoustical resistance and allows flexibility in the selection and replacement of wall covering panels.

At least one power tap or receptacle supplies electrical power from the powerway to electrical appliances, such as computers, typewriters and other similar devices. A power terminal is mounted in one end of the housing, and includes a set of quick-disconnect power connectors. A flexible flag connector has one end mounted in the opposite end of the housing, and includes a flag terminal at its free end with a set of quick-disconnect power connectors that separably mate with the quick-disconnect power connectors on the power terminal of an adjacent powerway to electrically interconnect the powerways.

摘要： A wall structure for dividing building space includes several different freestanding base panels such as an internally open partition panel, a sound-deadening partition panel, a glass-supporting partition panel, and a doorway-supporting partition panel, and further includes an overhead system comprising a structural expressway construction, a transom subframe, covers for the subframe, and a glass module attachable to the subframe. The structural expressway construction has a torque box bracket for moving support from an inboard location spaced from the vertical side edge of the base panels to the vertical side edge. The transom subframe mounts atop the different base panels, and telescopingly extends into mating engagement with a ceiling channel. The opening between the ceiling channel, the top of the structural expressway construction, and the transom subframes can be selectively covered with either covers or a window subassembly that releasably engages structure on the ceiling channel, the structural expressway construction and the subframes.

摘要： A movable transparent panel for reconfigurable office partitions and the like is adapted for floor-to-ceiling applications which include a floor track shaped to be supported on a floor surface, and a ceiling track shaped to be supported on a ceiling surface. A panel frame is supported in a normally vertical orientation between the floor track and the ceiling track. The panel frame has vertically spaced-apart upper and lower horizontal members with a pair of vertical side members interconnecting the upper and lower horizontal members and extending therebetween to define a generally quadrilateral opening. The upper horizontal member is operably connected to the ceiling track, and the lower horizontal member is operably connected with the floor track. A substantially transparent sheet is removably connected to the frame and extends across at least the portion of the opening. A vertically adjustable support retains the frame at a selected height above the floor track to permit height adjustment and leveling of the frame to account for variations in the floor surface.

摘要： A floor track system is provided to route utilities to workstations in open office plans, and the like. The floor track system includes a plurality of individual floor track segments, each of which has a hollow interior in which the utilities are housed and isolated. Each floor track segment also includes feet which independently support the track segment on the floor in a generally upright orientation, and an exterior shape which physically mates with the furniture units in the workstation, without supporting the same. Opposite ends of the floor track segments are detachably interconnected in a predetermined configuration to form a continuous, self-contained and self-supported utility raceway that is physically separate from the furniture units, yet dimensionally cooperates and blends in with them. Utility taps can be located throughout the floor track system to provide utilities to each of the workstations as required.
