    • A collapsible cross-arm dolly for conveyance of weighted articles. The dolly consists of an upper arm (20) and a lower arm (24) of square metallic tubing, with each formed with a horizontal offset center portion (22) and (26) and with a pair of casters (30) that are attached at each end of both arm's lower surface. The horizontal offset center portion (22) is formed in opposite hand or mirror image of each other, thus permitting them to nest together and are both oppositely flattened to allow nesting on the same horizontal plane. A pivot junction (32) is mutually disposed between the arms, thereby permitting the dolly to form a pivotal right angle cross position (36), or alternatively, a pivotal parallel arm collapsed position (38). A gravity-actuated restraint (50) locks and disengages the connection of the upper arm to the lower arm, which permits changing orientation from the right angle cross position (36) to the parallel arm collapsed position (36). A second embodiment is basically identical except a manual push-button restraint (78) is utilized instead of being operated by a gravity actuated restraint.

    • An improved motor vehicle brake-pedal locking device (10) that mechanically maintains the vehicle brake-pedal (60) in a depressed position to prevent the vehicle from being driven. The device includes a horizontally and vertically pivoting brake-pedal swing-arm interfacing structure (12) that is disclosed in two designs. Both designs include a channel (12A),(38C) that engages the brake-pedal swing-arm (62). To the back end (18B),(34B) of the structure (12) is attached the back end (50B of a locking tube (50). Inserted into this locking tube (50), is a locking rod (52) having attached to its back end (52B) a forked section (56A) that attaches to a vehicle seat (64). The device is installed by placing the structure (12) over the swing-arm (62) and the forked section (56A) secured to the seat (64). The device (10) is then depressed to place the brake-pedal (60) in a depressed position in which position the device is locked in place.

    • A Portable Luggage Carrier (10) having a resilient mounting surface (24) to accept hand luggage, with castors (48) and (50) providing mobility and weight receiving characteristics. A structural frame (20) provides a rigid mounting surface and attachment for the castors (48) and (50) that are retractable into the frame body (20). A flexible towing strap (52) with a slideable buckle (54) is interposed with the frame (20) and encompasses luggage that is juxtaposed on the mounting surface. The strap (52) is tightened with the buckle (54) and the remaining end becomes a hand held towing strap. A securing latch (36) is spring loaded into the retractable member (25) or (26) to lock the castors into either the extended or retracted position. The preferred embodiment includes a removable cover (61) that slips over the carrier exposing the handle thorugh a slot in the cover. In another embodiment the carrier comprises a combination brief case and cover (73). In still another embodiment a hinged back cover (62) encloses the carrier (70). This cover is locked in place and may incorporate a flashing light (66) and a clock (68).

    • A theft preventing attachment for a luggage handle defining, in the preferred embodiment, a resilient sheath (20) split in the middle with a ZIPPER (24) effectively covering the luggage handle when closed and secured with a lock (32). The second embodiment incorporating a hood (36) with a lock (42) covering the luggage handle such that only a smooth surface exists, making lifting impossible from the handle. The third embodiment applying a tumbler lock (50) with the pawl penetrating a cavity (52) in the handle keeping it in the closed or retracted position. In either event, carrying of luggage so locked would indicate a theft was taking place, overcoming the problem of unauthorized stealing of unattended luggage.

    • A portable cross-framed dolly (10) that is designed to accept and transport various, loose items or to have attached a container (104), such as a laundry basket, into which items can be placed. The dolly (10) consists of a first frame (12) having a downward projecting first frame slot (28) and a second frame (40) having an upward projecting second frame slot (54). When the two slots (28,54), interface the upper surfaces (18,46) and lower surfaces (20,48) of the two frames (12,40) are on the same plane to thus, form a stable platform (62). To the lower surfaces (20,48), and near the first and second ends of each of the two frames (12,40), is attached a caster which allows the dolly (10) to easily roll when being pulled. The pulling is provided by a flexible pull trap (66) which is removably attached to either the first end (14) or the second end (16) of the first frame (12).

    • A remotely-actuated audio/visual assembly (10) which consists of a signal transmitting circuit (12) and a signal receiving circuit (58). The circuit (12) is designed to be remotely located from the circuit (58). The circuit (12) is typically connected in parallel with a vehicle brake light (14) such that when the brakes are applied, power is supplied simultaneously to the brake lights and to a transmitter (38) which produces an output signal (46). The output signal (46) is applied to a receiver (60) in the circuit (58) which in turn produces an output signal (64) which enables a control circuit (70) which is programmed to control the operation of a visual display (80) and an optional audio alarm. In one application the signal receiving circuit (58), which includes the visual display (80) is attached to the rear external surface of a motorcycle helmet (220). Thus, when the motorcycle's brakes are applied, the visual display (80) is activated, thereby allowing a following vehicle to more readily see and understand that the motorcycle is slowing down or preparing to stop.
