摘要： A plastic pipe joint, integrally composed of a saddle-shaped foot plate and a pipe stub, is welded to the outer surface of a pipe by melting the concave surface of the foot plate and the entire periphery of the pipe along a cylindrical zone whose axial length is somewhat larger than the foot plate. The pipe joint is seated on the pipe surface by means of its foot plate and the plastic allowed to cool until the adjacent melted parts fuse and form a welding joint. Melting of the entire periphery of the pipe within the axial zone avoids later stresses at the welding joint.

摘要： Automatic casting apparatus wherein a measured quantity of molten casting material may be provided in casting molds by operation of a weighing mechanism which controls dispensing of the casting material from a stopper ladle into a casting ladle. The invention is particularly directed to an improved weighing mechanism which operates in association with a tipping mechanism for the casting ladle which is pivotally mounted upon a pair of balance beams extending from the weighing mechanism. Measuring elements are located within the weighing mechanism and control elements operatively associated with the weighing mechanism determine dispensing of a measured quantity of molten material from the stopper ladle into the casting ladle.

The apparatus also includes a standard pressurized can for containment of a primer fluid and means for permitting fluid communication between the can and the annular pads to provide such pads with the fluid material for priming the surfaces of the pipe and fitting.

摘要： Pourable material is introduced into the upper end of a tank and moves downwardly about a centrally arranged feed pipe perforated along its length for introducing a gaseous medium into the material, and the material is removed from the bottom of the tank. Horizontally arranged, vertically spaced ring discs are located outwardly from the feed pipe and inwardly from the tank so that the downwardly moving pourable material enters between adjacent ring discs and forms a frusto-conically shaped layer of material. By varying the cross sectional size of the openings in the feed pipe and/or varying the size and/or spacing of the ring discs the treatment of the pourable material by the gaseous medium can be varied.

摘要： This invention relates to a device to form a cloth selvage with tucked-in filling ends on a weaving machine with filling yarn supply packages situated outside of the warp shed, a filling insertion member pulling the yarn from the supply package and inserting it into the shed in the form of a loop starting from the selvage and a cutting device being controlled synchronously with the filling insertion cycle for cutting the filling at a distance from the selvage inside of the warp shed. The cutting device itself is characterized by a first cutter half mounted fixed for rotation on an oscillating shaft borne parallel to the fell of the cloth, whereas the second cutter half of said cutting device is arranged in the same way but pivotable in relation to the first cutter half.
