    • There is provided a decorative material comprising at least a substrate, a low-luster pattern ink layer partially formed on the substrate, and a surface protective layer which is present on and contacted with the low-luster pattern ink layer so as to cover a whole surface including both a region where the low-luster pattern ink layer is formed and a region where no low-luster pattern ink layer is formed, wherein the surface protective layer is formed by crosslinking and curing an ionizing radiation-curable resin composition, and provided therein with a low-gloss region which is located in a portion just above the low-luster pattern ink layer and in the vicinity of the portion and visually recognized as a concave portion. The decorative material is provided on a surface thereof with a pattern, and exhibits a difference in gloss according to the pattern which is visually recognized as a concave portion, thereby imparting a good convexo-concave feeling to a surface thereof.

    • The present invention improves a surface protective layer in the resistance to marring to the extent not achieved even if the surface protective layer is made of a crosslinked cured product of an ionizing radiation-curable resin and added with silica. When forming a layer comprising the crosslinked cured product of the ionizing radiation-curable resin as a surface protective layer (2) on a substrate sheet (1) made of paper or the like, fired kaolin is contained as a filler in the surface protective layer. The fired kaolin is preferably surface-treated with a silane coupling agent. On the substrate sheet (1), a wholly solid layer (3) and a pattern layer (4) are generally provided. A primer layer may be optionally provided between the substrate sheet and the surface protective layer.

In the decorative sheet, a silicone having a high lifting effect (the effect of lifting on the surface) and a silicone having high compatibility with the ionizing radiation curing resin are incorporated, either separately from each other or simultaneously, into an ionizing radiation curing resin for forming the surface protective layer. According to this constitution, properties, which are generally likely to be offset by each other, that is, excellent contamination resistance, marker ink erasing capability, and cellophane tape resistance, high leveling properties, surface smoothness, and transparency, and suppressed slipperiness, can be maintained on a high level.

    • A coated paper having the oil resistance and the marring resistance which cannot be obtained by the addition of the silica particles is provided. The coated paper 10 has a configuration with at least a surface protection layer 2 of a cross-linking cured material of an ionizing radiation curing resin laminated on a fiber substrate 1, wherein the ionizing radiation curing resin of the surface protection layer contains an ethylene oxide modified polymerizable compound, and preferably, the surface protection layer contains baked kaolin particle. By increasing the hydrophilic property with the ethylene oxide modified polymerizable compound, the oil resistance is provided for the surface protection layer itself, and with the baked kaolin particle, the marring resistance can be provided. Moreover, it is preferable to laminate successively a solid colored layer 3A and a primer layer 4 before laminating the surface protection layer on the fiber substrate in terms of the adhesion property and the design property. Moreover, it is preferable to form these layers as a cured material of an urethane resin resulting from a reaction of an acrylic polyol and an isocyanate in terms of the adhesion property and the oil resistance.

    • A coated paper having not only oil resistance but marring resistance, which has not been attained even by the addition of silica particles. The coated paper (10) has a structure comprising a fibrous base (1) and superposed thereover at least a surface-protective layer (2) made of a resin obtained by crosslinking and curing a resin curable with an ionizing radiation, wherein the resin curable with an ionizing radiation contains an ethylene oxide-modified polymerizable compound. Preferably, the surface-protective layer contains burned kaolin particles. The ethylene oxide-modified polymerizable compound enhances hydrophilicity and imparts oil resistance to the surface-protective layer itself. The burned kaolin particles impart marring resistance. It is preferable to successively superpose a solid colored layer (3A) and a primer layer (4) before the superposition of the surface-protective layer over the fibrous base from the standpoints of adhesion and appearance. These layers preferably are constituted of a cured urethane resin obtained from an acrylic polyol and an isocyanate from the standpoints of adhesion and oil resistance.
