    • A system for relative angle-of-rotation adjustment of a camshaft of an internal-combustion engine. An adjusting unit has an interior part connected with the camshaft, and a cell wheel with several cells distributed along the circumference. Interior part webs divide the cells into two pressure spaces. Hydraulic pressure admitted or relieved from the pressure spaces causes camshaft rotation between two end positions. A movable locking element in the cell wheel or the interior part opens up a hydraulic line to a pressure space when in an unlocked position. When in a locked position, bores in the interior part are closed off. The locking element can move into first and second unlocking positions, whereby the various bores are opened at desired intervals as the locking element moves. As a result, the useful life and the functionality of the locking device is improved.

    • The gearing has an input element (8) which is connected in terms of drive to an output element (9) via gearing elements. One of the gearing elements is a regulating element (12) with which the rotational speed of the input element (8) can be changed for passing on to the output element (9). The rotational speed of the output element (9) is increased when the rotational speed of the regulating element (12) decreases. The torque present at the input element (8) is conducted on via the regulating element (12) to the output element (9) such that the input torque is present at the latter.

    • An arrangement is provided for relative angle-of-rotation adjustment of a camshaft of an internal-combustion engine with respect to a driving wheel. An interior part, non-rotatably connected with the camshaft, has at least approximately radially extending webs or vanes. A driven cell wheel has several cells distributed along the circumference and bounded by webs. The camshaft is rotatable by way of the webs or vanes between two end positions relative to the cell wheel, and the interior part is laterally bounded by two cover elements connected with the cell wheel. Recesses forming chambers are provided to reduce friction between the webs or vanes of the interior part and the cover elements in the side walls of the vanes directed to the cover elements. During operation of the internal-combustion engine, the recesses are at least partially acted upon by hydraulic oil.

    • A device and method for the relative adjustment of the angle of rotation of a camshaft with respect to the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine that utilizes a hydraulically activated actuating element, through the adjustment of which the phase position of the camshaft can be directly or indirectly changed. The actuating element is bordered by two pressure chambers, which can be loaded with or relieved of hydraulic fluid via control lines. A control valve is provided, which, depending upon an operating state of the internal combustion engine, forces a flow of oil that is forced from an oil reservoir by an oil pump via a first control line to a first pressure chamber, while oil from a second pressure chamber is returned to the oil reservoir via a second control line, and vice versa. At least one controlled bypass is arranged between the two pressure chambers. In this manner, the speed of adjustment of the camshaft adjuster can be advantageously increased.
