    • There are provided a motor capable of preventing scratches from occurring on an outer surface of a rotor case thereof, a method for manufacturing the same, and an optical disk drive using the same. The motor includes a shaft rotatably inserted into a bearing assembly; and a rotor case fixedly fastened to the shaft and rotating together with the shaft, wherein the rotor case is provided with a chamfered part along the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface thereof. The rotor case includes a rotor hub fastened to an end of the shaft; an extending part extending in an outer-diameter direction from the rotor hub; and a vertical extending part formed to be vertically extended downwardly in a shaft direction from an outer peripheral edge of the extending part and having the chamfered part formed on the bottom end surface thereof.

    • Disclosed is a motor including a rotor body mounted on a shaft and a chucking mechanism body mounted on a rotor hub, which are coupled with an increased coupling force by changing a coupling structure of the rotor hub of the rotor body and the chucking mechanism body mounted on the rotor hub. The motor includes: a sleeve rotatably supporting a shaft; a rotor body having a rotor hub mounted on the shaft; and a chucking mechanism body having a boss with a through hole in which the rotor hub is insertedly coupled and a space part formed within the boss and providing an elastic force when the rotor hub is coupled. Because a force of restitution resulting from an elastic deformation of the boss provided in the chucking mechanism body can be increased through the space part, namely, because a pressing force applied to the rotor hub of the rotor body can be increased by the boss, the coupling force between the rotor hub of the rotor body and the boss of the chucking mechanism body can be increased and, in addition, the coupling force between the rotor hub of the rotor body and the boss of the chucking mechanism body can be further increased by the release preventing unit.

    • A brushless DC motor. The motor includes a rotating shaft, a bearing rotatably supporting the rotating shaft in radial directions, a support holder made of a plastic material and supporting both the lower end of the rotating shaft and the outer circumferential surface of the bearing, a rotor casing having a rotor magnet therein and rotated along with the rotating shaft, a stator mounted to the outer circumferential surface of the support holder so as to face the rotor magnet and rotating the rotor casing by mutual cooperation with the rotor magnet in response to electricity applied from an external power source, and a plate, to which the support holder is locked using a locking screw.
