    • A display device includes an image signal processing unit to output a high-speed image signal with the aid of an image interpolation unit outputting a low-speed image signal. The display device includes an image signal processing unit to receive a primitive image signal having a first frequency and to output a 4× image signal having a second frequency. The second frequency is four times the first frequency. The display device includes a display panel displaying an image corresponding to the 4× image signal. The primitive image signal includes an (n−1)-th frame (where n is a natural number) and an n-th frame. The image signal processing unit includes a first image interpolation unit and second image interpolation unit, which receive the (n−1)-th frame and the n-th frame and output a 2× image signal including at least one interpolated frame.

    • A display device includes a data request unit in a frame rate controller, and requires and transmits necessary data for the frame data buffer receiving and storing the image data of an entire pixel area and the rest of the frame rate controllers. In a case of a motion picture that is moved among a plurality of display areas, the image data corresponding to a plurality of regions is transmitted from the frame data buffer or a plurality of frame rate controllers, and in a case of the motion picture that is moved between neighboring pixel areas, the image data of the neighboring pixel area is transmitted from the frame data buffer or the neighboring frame rate controller for processing. Accordingly, a fast-moving motion picture may be realized without the need for an additional memory.

    • Provided are a circuit board that stores Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) information provided externally and a liquid crystal display (LCD) comprising the same. The liquid crystal display comprises a circuit board and a liquid crystal panel. The circuit board comprises a first connector which receives an externally provided video signal, a second connector which receives an externally provided EDID signal, a memory coupled to the second connector that receives and stores the EDID signal, and a timing controller which receives the video signal from the first connector and generates a video data voltage by using the EDID signal. The liquid crystal panel responds to the video data voltage and displays a video image.
