摘要： An image forming apparatus having a structure to prevent print defects caused by residual paper. The image forming apparatus includes a main body, a paper feeding cassette separably mounted to the main body, a pickup member to pick up paper from the paper feeding cassette, and a paper separating member including a plurality of links to apply pressure to the pickup member when the paper feeding cassette is mounted to the main body and to release the pressure applied to the pickup member when the paper feeding cassette is separated from the main body. The paper separating member includes a first link to be pressed by the paper feeding cassette, a second link provided with a separating unit to press the pickup member, and an elastic member between the first link and the second link to allow the first link to press the second link.

摘要： A medium supply unit of an image forming apparatus, the medium supply unit may include: a main body housing; a tray connected to the main body housing and loading a printing-target medium therein; an activating shaft connected to the main body housing and being rotated in a predetermined direction by an activating force of an activating source; an intermediate member supported by one end of the activating shaft to deliver a rotating force of the activating shaft; a first elastic member having one end connected to the intermediate member and the other end supported by the activating shaft; and elastically biasing the intermediate member in a direction facing the printing-target medium according to a rotation of the activating shaft; and a roller unit having a roller unit housing that is attachable to the intermediate member and at least one roller that is supported by the roller unit housing and picks up and supplies printing-target media loaded in the tray; and configured to deliver to the roller(s) an elastic force of the first elastic member and a rotating force of the activating shaft when the activating shaft is rotated.

The combination machine has at least two modules among a scanner module to project light onto documents and produce images, a photocopier module to output the images onto paper, and a facsimile machine module to send images through a communication channel and to receive images through the communication channel, including a character recognition part to recognize characters on the images, a translation part to translate the recognized characters into a different language, and a controller to control the character recognition part and the translation part to translate the images into the different language and to convert the characters translated in the different language into images. Accordingly, the combination machine can translate images with respect to text on documents, convert the images into a voice, and convert into an image format processable by an external display device on a user's single command.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided to enhance a resolution of an image by controlling a process speed and a laser scanning method thereof. Such an image forming apparatus comprises a laser scanning unit having at least two laser diodes to form an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body with laser beams emitted from the laser diodes; an engine driving unit having at least one driving motor to drive a plurality of built-in units; and a control unit arranged to control one of the laser scanning unit and the engine driving unit to change one of a process speed of the engine driving unit and a scan speed of the laser scanning unit with a certain rate depending on a resolution selected from an external source when the laser scanning forms the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum. When the electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the photosensitive body by laser beams to be emitted from two laser diodes, the scan speed of the laser scanning unit or the process speed of the engine driving unit is accelerated or reduced with the certain rate in accordance with the selected resolution, so that intervals between scan line can be narrowed without superposition or interference between scanning signals of the scan lines, i.e., electrostatic latent images formed by the laser beams, thereby obtaining an image of the selected high resolution.
