    • A sander comprises a body member molded of polypropylene to which a soft pad member is integrally molded or directly bonded thereto. Preferably, the material comprising the pad member is of a thermoplastic elastomer material, such as Santoprene®. Significantly, when the pad member is molded directly to the body member, the pad has internal dimensions only slightly larger than the external dimensions of the body member so that, when the body member is located within the confines of the pad member, a secure fit is formed between these two members, without any space between them. Further, the respective dimensions of the body member and pad member give the sander a thick, one-piece appearance in side and end views. The pad member may also include a plurality of openings which help provide a “spongy” effect to the user, smoothing the peaks and reaching the valleys of an uneven surface upon which the sander is utilized.

    • A mixing device includes vanes arranged so that the outer edges of the vanes define a frusto-conical surface in order to facilitate improved circulation of the liquid being mixed. In one embodiment, the outer edges of the vanes are tapered outward to form the frusto-conical surface. In an alternative embodiment, the inner and outer edges of the vanes are aligned with each other, and the vanes are tilted relative to a central axis to form the frusto-conical surface. Turbines extend between the vanes and shaft for rotating the mixing device. The turbines are arranged to avoid inhibiting entry of liquids through the top and bottom of the mixing device. Feet extend downward from the bottom edge of the mixing device to facilitate mixing of liquids on the bottom of the container.

    • In a preferred embodiment, the push-pull stripper-scraper comprises a single stripping blade and a quadruple-edged scraping blade. The stripping blade accommodates a sliding carrier plate which incorporates guide channels for sliding along the stripping blade. The carrier plate is adapted to retain the scraping blade, thus, the scraping blade moves in unison with the carrier plate as the it shifts in position along the stripping blade. The carrier plate, stripping blade and scraping blade also include apertures through which a fastening means secures these respective components but which nevertheless selectively permits movement of the carrier plate along the stripping blade. Significantly, the device allows a user to switch between using the stripping blade and scraping blade, respectively, without changing tools. This is particularly advantageous when using the device in conjunction with an extension pole.
