摘要： A turf scarifier and raker includes a housing with an elongated upright handle and having suitably positioned wheels designed to permit traversing movements over turf while the operator is in a standing position. The housing has an electric motor positioned in essentially the same plane as a tine assembly driven by the electric motor. The tine assembly has a plurality of tines which extend through an opening at the bottom of the housing. The tines result from a plurality of torsion coil springs having radially extending active ends that are serially threaded on rods arcuately and radially located about a central axle of the tine assembly. The active ends come into contact with the turf when the device is operated. At the same time, the other ends of the springs are inhibited from turning torque, preferably by lying in abutment against the central axle. The tines are arranged along helical paths about the central axle to contribute to a more constant torque resistance to the rotation of the tine assembly by causing the tines along each helical path to successively engage the lawn.

The frame can be folded to reduce the separation between the front and rear wheels so that the front/rear dimension of the push chair is reduced. The seat (11) of the chair is folded up at the front and the handle (40) is folded down at the rear. An auxiliary handle (16) on the support member controls the push chair when it is folded.

摘要： This invention relates to a pivotal closure for a container. The closure structure includes a collar defining an opening, and associated with the opening is a lid mounted for rotation about an axis generally coaxial with this opening. This lid is further mounted for pivoting about an axis normal to the axis of rotation between a closed position in which the lid closes the opening and an open position in which an aperture defined by the lid and/or the collar allows access through the opening. The rotation of the lid is governed by a cam mechanism operable by pivoting movement of the lid. The can mechanism is, generally, a saw-tooth cam surface associated with either the collar or the lid and a cam follower associated with either the collar or the lid, so that pivoting the lid from a closed position through an open position and back to a closed position causes the lid to rotate about the axis of the opening by an amount determined by the cam surface.
