    • An apparatus for treating fluids by increasing the fluid's rate of diffusion, removing minerals in solution, releasing entrained gases, and destroying bacteria includes a pair of cascaded vortex nozzles positioned in opposed relation. Each of the vortex nozzles communicates with a fluid source to receive a fluid stream which it rotates. The cascaded vortex nozzles feed their rotating fluid stream into the rear of the vortex nozzle with which they are cascaded. The rotating fluid streams fed into the vortex nozzles combine with the rotating fluid stream within each nozzle. The combined streams then circularly rotate and exit the opposed vortex nozzles to collide in a chamber. The collision between the combined rotating streams results in the breaking of the bonds holding the fluid, gases, and minerals in their molecular array, thus, increasing the fluid's diffusion rate, allowing the gases to escape, the minerals to agglomerate, and destroying bacteria. By cascading the vortex nozzles to combine the streams, the compression waves, shearing effect, and velocity of the streams at the impingement point within the chamber between the opposed nozzles are all greatly enhanced to produce a higher diffusion rate, greater removal of gases, agglomeration of minerals in solution, and the destruction of bacteria.

    • An inertial bullet puller comprises a rigid, tough plastics material carrier tube having an opening at its upper end adapted to receive a cartridge and a head portion at its lower end adapted to be struck against a hard surface. The carrier tube is affixed to the end of a handle in a manner similar to the construction of a hammer. The upper end of the carrier tube includes a plurality of slots cut therein to receive an annular segmented support comprised of a plurality of segments interconnected with an O-ring. A cap at the upper end of the carrier tube includes a tapered inner end to provide a cam surface for positively moving the segments radially inward and holding them in position. After a cartridge is inserted through the segments, the cap is tightened to urge the segments inwardly along the slots so that they engage the cannelure and casing of the cartridge. In use the lower end of the tube is struck against a hard surface until the bullet is observed to pull free of the cartridge casing. The lower end of the tube is closed forming a pocket to receive the bullet and casing contents when the bullet is freed from the casing. The cap is then backed off to allow the O-ring to move the segments radially outward which permits the cartridge components to pass from the upper end of the carrier tube when it is inverted and shaken.

    • The present invention is an inertial bullet puller comprising a rigid tough transparent plastics material carrier tube having an opening at its upper end adapted to receive a cartridge and a head portion at its lower end adapted to be struck against a hard surface. The carrier tube is affixed to the end of a handle in a manner similar to the construction of a hammer. However, the carrier tube is not completely perpendicular to the handle, but instead, resides at an angle to the handle. At the upper end of the carrier tube is disposed an annular segmented cartridge support. A cap at the upper end of the carrier tube having a tapered inner end provides a cam surface for positively moving the annular segmented cartridge support radially inwardly and holding it in position. When a cartridge is inserted through the annular segmented cartridge support into the opening at the upper end of the tube, the cartridge support expands to pass the larger diameter portions of the cartridge, and then as the cap is tightened, the cartridge support contracts into the cannelure. In use the lower end of the tube is struck once or twice against a hard surface until the bullet is observed to pull free of the cartridge case. The lower end of the tube is closed forming a pocket to receive the bullet and case contents when the bullet is freed from the case. Tapered surfaces on the interior of the cartridge support allows the cartridge support to move radially outward when the cap is backed off, and the cartridge components are shaken out of the upper end of the carrier tube.
