The method includes measuring first channel quality information from a signal received from a base station and transmitting the first channel quality information to the base station; receiving a power control message including a difference between an average channel quality value and a reference channel quality value from the base station, wherein the average channel quality value is obtained by averaging first and second channel quality information measured from a signal received by the base station, and the reference channel quality value is a reference required by the base station; and detecting the difference between the average channel quality value and the reference channel quality value and setting a transmission power for data communication using the difference.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for receiving channel quality information (CQI) in a mobile communication system in which a mobile station feeds back downlink CQI over a CQI transmission channel. In the apparatus, a power correlation estimator correlating code values mapped to tiles, wherein the CQI transmission channel includes a plurality of the tiles distinguished by time and frequency resources. A maximum detector detects CQI corresponding to a code value having the maximum power correlation value among estimated power correlation values. A threshold comparator compares the detected CQI with a CQI threshold, and outputs the detected CQI as final CQI if the detected CQI is greater than or equal to the threshold.

摘要： An apparatus and method for cell acquisition and downlink synchronization acquisition in an OFDMA wireless communication system are provided. In an SS apparatus in a broadband wireless communication system, a preamble subcarrier acquirer extracts subcarrier values having a preamble code from an FFT signal. A multiplier code-demodulates the subcarrier values by multiplying the subcarrier values by a preamble code. A correlator calculates a plurality of differential correlations in the code-demodulated signal. An IFFT processor IFFT-processes the differential correlations by mapping the differential correlations to subcarriers. A maximum value detector detects a maximum value from the IFFT signal and calculates a timing offset using an IFFT output index having the maximum value.
